13th Ave Food Trailer Getting Bid Again?

Screen Shot 2016-04-10 at 3.02.05 AM

The bidding for the 13th Ave concession was held at the March 15 Council meeting.  Some pizza place won the bid at $7100/mo.  Anyone know why is it being advertised to be bid at the April 19 meeting?  And why is the bidding at 4:00?

Yet another pizza place. So much for variety. How about a sushi trailer?

Actually a few years back I looked into maybe operating a sushi lunch truck at Raritan Center and thought I could do weekends at the beach (certainly not at $7100/mo!)

One thing about selling sushi up there, though, is that you don’t know how long people might leave it sitting out in that hot sun after they buy it. I sometimes bring some of my home made sushi to the beach but I make sure to keep it cool until I eat it and always out of the sun.

Holding bidding at 4pm narrows the pool of vendors. Convenient and selective for low bid.

Opening the Bid at 4pm is unusual does not restrict from what I can see you have till the date and time to drop of a sealed bid. If there is any hanky panky there will be another lawsuit.

It’s not a sealed bid, it’s an auction.

Why does the Exit 98 clothing trailer on the boardwalk have 6 years left on their lease?
I guess that means we will be looking at that ugly trailer for another 6 years.

Jax or Puerto Rico don’t feel compulsive urges to free up docking space at their marinas. Why do we give FREE taxpayer paid anything to commercial businesses in BELMAR?

I do not remember this being bid out. Another hand out on public property http://belmarfresh.com/ Quick math seems like $50,00 in rents, nice cash.
