As a resident of this town I find all of the Queen of Means tactics to be offensive and ignorant. To take advantage of her position on a daily basis is a disgrace and a slap in every tax payers face. And who cares? Who will speak up and say enough is enough? The way she treats business owners(everyone except Merri-Makers) is horrific, the way she treats homeowners and the tax payers is disgusting, hell she broke a state law by disarming a fire alarm and calling off the fire department and got away with it! She is reckless and dangers to all who live in this town or own a business in this town.
It’s time for Mayor and council finally stands up for what is right!!!
Let’s see who will be the first one to speak out against the Queen of Mean and make her accountable for all of the illegal things she has done with using her title. And to think someone with zero experience will be handed the job of CFO for the Boro is frightening.
I will go to bed tonight hoping someone on the council will speak out about this tomorrow. Let’s show some decency for once please. We the residents are begging you Mayor and Council to do what is right for us.

So does every business owner in town get this same courtesy?? I highly doubt that she’s authorized to assign parking spots to anyone, but then again, she parks anywhere she wants because she thinks she’s this superb, powerful being, when really she’s just an inconsiderate, thoughtless bully who doesn’t give a sh*t about Belmar or the people who have lived here all their lives. I wonder if she knows that she’s going to cost Brian the election?

#24 I can tell you for a fact that the lifeguards had a party on the beach at 5th ave. You are correct. Alcohol consumed blatantly by all including underage. Cigar smoking, glass bottles and people jumping over the bonfire. The mayor was there, not sure of his name as well as boro manager Colleen. Both turned a blind eye as to what was going on as well as the director. I was appalled.

#31..Merri Makers doesn’t have to pay for anything. Let’s not forget that Colleen used to work for them! I’m sure nothing shady is going on though. Also, around the holidays, I tried to give the ladies in boro hall some cookies to thank them for always being so helpful, and as per Colleen, they were not allowed to accept them. Now that I’m hearing about the drinking at the bonfire, I’m a little ticked off! Why is that allowed, but not cookies for the staff who work hard everyday to help the residents?? She certainly does pick and choose who gets special treatment and who doesn’t. Not very ethical in my opinion, but then again…..

It’s all true in regards to the alcohol consumption by minors at the bonfire in full view of the supervisors who were in attendance. Just ask around, the queen of mean and her minions did nothing to stop the underage drinking. Certain supervisors want to be everyone’s friend so they turned a blind eye and were complicit in this behavior. It’s not that hard to figure out that there is no repercussions to the supervisors who witnessed this abhorrent behavior by most of the underage hires. It’s all smoke and mirrors but what’s not is they all have to go. It stinks from the head down. This condoning of 17 year olds drinking in plain sight on Borough property must be looked into.

But yet again NOTHING will happen to Colleen, the parking passes, illegally disarming a fire alarm, booze at a employee bonfire on the beach, lying to business owners, lying to residents, lying to employees, lawsuits brought upon the Boro because of her etc. The power she holds is so great she can apparently do anything she wants in town and gets away with it. The employees of the town are so fed up with all of shenanigans they have become more vocal and it is falling on deaf ears. There is zero respect for anyone anymore no matter who you are. You either kiss Connolly’s ass or you are treated like shit. This blog has been wonderful for us the residents of this town to voice our opinions, however, why not start speaking out at council meetings and demanding answers from the Mayor and Council to find out why business owners, employees and residents are being hung out to dry. Why the blatent disrespect, why all of the lies?
As a tax payer I am appalled at what is happening in our town. Ashamed to think that someone who is so negative and vindictive has so much power and does so much harm to our town. It’s time to really evaluate the situation at hand to see what our rights are as tax payers and demand answers and respect!
Sorry for the long winded rant, I am just at wits end and can not imagine another day with her in control over OUR town.

Face it, the present mayor is as corrupt as the prior one, in my opinion, otherwise, why would he condone, even possibly encourage, illegal behavior or plead ignorance? The “duh, I’m a dope” likable guy image is a ruse. He is rather, uh, dumb, but that is not an excuse, especially if there are council members who are not so stupid who could call him out (or are they just minions along for the ride of the illusion of power)?

By the way, Mr. Dilberger is not a dope, he is clever. Recall the use of the court jester, a voice of seeming comedy who spoke truth. And he was an iron worker – I would not mess with that…
