Tampered Signature On Brennan Campaign Filing

You can say it’s a trivial matter.  But these Belmar Democrats can’t seem to comply with the law on even the most simple things.

I’ve run for office four times.  You fill out the forms, you sign them and you send them in.  What’s so difficult?  Not a single report I ever submitted ever displayed a signature that was not one placed there by my own hand.

I guess Tom Brennan must be some sort of international jet-setter who’s never around when you need him to sign something.  I would say there’s probably three people who have signed his name to some official document or another.  But on the most recent filing posted on the Borough website, the document was clearly not signed by him and instead a photocopy of his signature from something else he must have signed was photoshopped in.

For some reason his 11 day pre-election report, although perfectly clear on the NJ ELEC website, on the Borough website looks like it’s from a cell phone photo taken from across a field on a windy day.  It’s basically unreadable.

Here is the report as posted by the state:

And here is Belmar’s whatever:

If you compare the signatures at the bottom you can see that on the one posted by the Borough his signature is just pasted in.  It’s much sharper than the rest of the document.

On top of that, the pasted-in signature was obviously done by someone different than the one on ELEC’s version.   The one on Brennan’s 29 day report below looks similar to the pasted one.  So which signature is really Tom’s?

You won’t get any help by looking at his signatures from his first campaign three years ago because they were signed by some third person, probably campaign treasurer Maureen Doherty, Matt’s sister.

Actually, the one done in April 2015 looks like it might have been done by some fourth person.

Again, you can say this is trivial and that I’m nitpicking. BUT THESE ARE THE SAME PEOPLE WHO HELD UP A TREE PLANTING FOR A WOMAN WHO DIED FROM CANCER, A TREE PLANTING THAT HER FRIENDS CAME FROM THOUSANDS OF MILES AWAY TO WITNESS, BECAUSE SOME STUPID SIGNATURE WAS MISSING FROM SOME STUPID FORM.

Pray that the recount confirms that Brennan lost.

Agreed Dave. Tom Brennan is a puppet. Jennifer Nicolay is a puppet. Josh Vallario is a really nice guy who had no business even being close in this race. He didn’t knock on doors and he opted not to purchase lawn signs. The fine residents of Belmar are fed up ! Enough already !!! Hopefully the vote holds up and we can say bye to the puppet.Next up is Doherty and Nicolay. Hopefully Mr. Seebeck decides to run for office- the town needs him.

#2 the proof is in the pudding. Josh without going door to door (which he did) and without signs (which we saved money) he still came out a winner.

#6. Nice try Josh. You reached hundreds and two thirds of your likes lived outside of Belmar, where by the way your contributions came from also. I guess you didn’t fail to get District 4 votes either.

I suspect that the reason Josh appears to have won had nothing to do with the method of campaigning and more to do with voters finally showing their disgust for the Mayor and the puppets despite the registration and patronage advantage they have.

Many homes with Brennan signs whether vacated or not were visited by Candidate Vallario. For those who are uninformed it’s a strategy used in many elections.

How many of our blog reading voters were ever approached by poll takers regarding any election candidates here in Belmar? PS: Don’t count Frank Pallone’s sports jacketed young male door knockers on election day. Nor can you use Dave’s Blog poll’s.
