Hey..im Steves neighbor…I live ar 400 5th since 1997…just a thought for the town and your blog.With all thats going on with cop killings i thought that we could show our solidarity and support for our police department by putting blue light bulbs in our lamp posts or front porch lights…I think it would go a long way with the boys in blue!…if u agree ill give Joe the heads up at the hardware store…lmk…thanks Cy

yesterday (9/5) parking meters at the boardwalk were uncovered (presumably had been covered to protect them from the storm)
at 10ish and were then to be in effect. some cars were there earlier. do you suppose they were ticketed?
Scott beamed the answers to the parking meter kiosks. Aerial footage available from POKEMAN PLAZA, Ocean Avenue. Looks like an abandoned lot that cattle trampled. This weekend there’s entertainment.

Hi Dave, House looks beautiful. Much Happiness to you and your family. Was wondering if you might have any information regarding the recent changes in the water/sewer bill for people in Belmar. We own a two family home, and they are charging us 100.00 more per quarter than the actual usage,and what action can be taken if any?

Thank You Eugene R Creamer. Just very disappointed with charging taxpayers extra fees on services when my house is owner occupied. When its should be taxed to the restaurants and bars that use an exorbitant amount of water.Taxpayers should only pay for what we use.
Commercial users pay a higher rate I believe.

‘Interesting that only certain belmar officials receive an “as is” slip rate at the marina. I served on both the harbor commission and the council. Marina rates are only be set by resolution of council. There is no such thing as an “as is” rate for 2020. This rate was authorized in 2019 but not renewed in 2020’
Maybe they should pony up like everyone else to make up for shortfalls and lack of Resolutions being filed for boat slips at Marina, right folks?

Huisman and Poff paid NOTHING for years. Kirschenbaum paid NOTHING for a year or two. In 2018 they started paying these special deal rates because they got caught. Campbey involed up to his eyeballs. All 4 feet of him.

This info could explain a number of things. Let’s say my name was Chuck and I worked as head of the marina. And I got caught doing something illegal, or inappropriate, ie insurance fraud, for which I should have been fired. But, knowing that I had all this dirt, I was slapped on the wrist and removed from the marina and given another DPW job. If I was Chuck I would file suit against the town. Perhaps the mayor could shed some light on this subject on the next Zoom meeting.
Ask Diane who ran the marina. She quit because of the BS. She’ll tell the truth
