Matt: Ch Ch Ch Ch Ch Changes

For those of you who were not at Wednesday’s council meeting or haven’t read the Molly Mulshine piece about it on The Coast Star website, Mayor Matt Doherty has announced that he intends to replace Robbin Kirk as business administrator and Karl Kemm as borough attorney.  Ms. Kirk will continue her work as Belmar’s CFO. […]

The Redistricting Worked Perfectly!

The only incumbent legislator who lost on Tuesday, Domenick DiCicco Jr., was running against other incumbents whose district he was moved to.   It is little wonder nothing ever gets better here.

My Performance By Town

Don’t worry, I’m almost done beating this election to death and will be getting back to writing about Belmar politics soon. Avon: 6.81% Belmar: 5.88% Bradley Beach: 5.49% Brielle: 2.70% Farmingdale: N/A Howell: 3.91% Lake Como: 4.04% Lakewood: 2.00% Manasquan: 2.19% Point Pleasant Boro: 3.54% Sea Girt: 2.32% Spring Lake: 2.81% Spring Lake Heights: N/A […]

Spin, Part Four: 220 Votes In Howell !

Supported by 3.91% of the good people of Howell.  Thanks, Howell!

Spin, Part Three: 2nd Among Libertarian Candidates!

Actually, we only fielded four candidates for assembly.  It’s tough to find people to run, for obvious reasons. Here’s how we did: Darren Young, 21st District:  1313 votes David Schneck, 30th District:  982 votes Vinco Grskovic, 38th District:  687 votes Julian Heicklen, 37th District:  623 votes

Spin, Part Two: 11.44% In 5th District!

My neighbors really came through for me.  I guess I can stop mowing their lawns for them now.

Congrats Dems

I want to congratulate Matt and Connie over their nicely run campaign that ended up only a whisker from victory. I also want to congratulate Jennifer for her 850 to 39 drubbing of a certain Mr. Write In.  I never met Mr. In but he must not be a very good campaigner.  Better luck next […]

Spin, Part One: 5.88 % In Belmar!

I did much better among the people who know me best, collecting 77 votes. Divide that by the total 2620 votes cast and then double it for 5.88%. Thanks, Belmar! .

2.9634547 %

That’s my 982 votes divided by half the 66,274 total votes cast (because everyone had two votes.)    Spin to follow.

BEAN WINS!

Bean: 711 Gutierrez: 689 Congratulations Jim!
