$1000 From The Barclay!

This 2010 Democratic campaign filing shows a $1000 in-kind contribution from the Barclay.

No, It Was The Democratic Committee

But you may recall that since Belmar campaign law states that if you accept a donation from any establishment that has a liquor license, you can’t vote on liquor licenses or taxi licenses.  So I guess they paid the Barclay back with funds from the Democratic Committee.  This amended 2010 report was filed in 2011.

No, Actually It Really Was The Barclay

I guess NJ Elections didn’t approve of the switch because an amended, amended report filed this month has it back to the Barclay.  So what does this mean for all the liquor license and taxi license votes that Doherty, Deicke and Magovern have made since 2011?  Are they now invalid again?

Shamed!

Thankfully the $61 billion Sandy Relief bill has been exposed as a totally corrupt piece of legislation by “Taxpayers for Common Sense” (love that name!)  This has sent some politicians who previously supported it scrambling for cover.  In today’s Asbury Park Press Congressman Rob Andrews called for passage of a “clean” Sandy Relief bill.  This […]

From today’s Asbury Park Press: Watchdog: $51B Sandy bill larded with […]

“A Joyful Pounding” …….Of The Taxpayers

“A joyful pounding” reads the Asbury Park Press print edition headline about the first boardwalk piling being set here in Belmar. I was out of town yesterday so I was unable to witness Christie and Doherty celebrate the great joy derived from the pounding.  Of the American taxpayer that is.  And the fact that the money […]
