As someone who has been intensely involved as a whistleblower in Belmar governance since 2012, yesterdays referendum was more than a NO VOTE landslide of a particular ordinance, but rather a referendum on Matt Doherty. The voters given the opportunity ( thank you Joy and others )have stated that Lawless Matt has gone too far. His arrogance resulting in constant lawsuits at voter expense, his entanglement in conflicts to the point he can’t even attend mayor and council meetings and govern as he was elected to govern have resulted in an over 70% VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE. Thanks to all who voted. Please remember November and the two council people who have been hanging on lawless’s cot tales too long.

It is with great pride and pleasure that I personally wish to thank certain people who actively and wholeheartedly participated in this collaborative effort for a landslide victory to keep our Pay to Play law intact and avoid corruption.
While I cannot name all the names of each and every one who stood out and gave their all, there are many. Some I would like to highlight.
Dearest Katrina you jumped on board and just kept running with this issue which meant so much to your integrity. You easily conveyed to so many the definition of Conflict of Interest law garnering numerous votes. You inspired so many a difficult task for this somewhat confusing election issue. Another shout out to the silent Huge who hung in there doing whatever he was told to do sometimes without even knowing why. Love and thank you both.
My little “A” jumping in and coordinating an amazing effort to blanket the town at the last minute with accurate information after the lies Doherty claimed in his poorly written explanation encouraging a Yes vote. Also your continued support early on and throughout was immeasurable. You just might be more enthusiastic than I but I still love you to pieces.
Thank you also to the Committee of Petitioners I know some of you were never involved to this extent in politics and it might have been somewhat risky. You prevailed and excelled. The Rock the Vote party was a resounding success and creative way to unite our town while providing accurate information without pressure.
We also saw some amazing letters to the editor so eloquently written which brought immeasurable knowledge to many voters. Thank you to our best and brightest writing from their heart, you know who you are. Thank you for taking the time and thought to write such compelling letters and proudly signing your names.
To one special newcomer and dear friend that brought so much creative and innovative insight to this effort. Yellow matters.
Patricia always ready to help in every and any way. You are a rock and I admire and love you.
There are so many others that prefer to be private that contact and support this and all the other campaigns. None of it happens without you all and your endless offers of help. Thank you so much especially to “N” graciously there for me every single time.
To those of you that walk the streets and talk to your neighbors which is so hard thank you. My special little pepper-pot Anita you rule the town. To all that made calls and walked a special thank you for your exceptional efforts that are so much harder than many realize. Thank you.
And then there’s Ken. From the beginning offering his professional expertise and then providing for us the best legal advice and counsel. There really are no words to thank you enough for the amount of time and effort you and your team put into a legal endeavor to bring Belmar back to where it was. Your love for this town clearly defines your motivation. Thank you.
And my special posse the ones I speak with almost daily that have been there from the beginning. I love you all.
