Gerry has my vote!
Yet you let an $83k confidential assistant position come to pass u der your leadership?? So are you corrupt or ignorant concerning the actions of the council?
What’s that little logo on the bottom of the flyer? Paid for by some union?
I think it just means that it was printed by a unionized print shop. This was paid for by his campaign.
If you love this town as much as you say then pack it in and put all of your effort and support into Jerry’s campaign. You can still support the community for which you live. Jerry is a much better candidate. Obviously much smarter. He is not a suck up and his only agenda is to do the right thing. Let’s face it you are a wasted seat. Vote for Jerry on November 3rd.

It sure would be nice if he did explain his thinking behind the acceptance of our new confidential assistant employee. How does that fit into his pledge of fiscal strength?
Just to remind you all, in a town where the liquor licenses is such an important issue Tom put himself in a position where he has to recuse himself from discussing and voting on license transfers and renewals. Despite the fact that he had voted on all license resolutions for his first year and a half in office, he used his band as an excuse to wiggle out of voting on the Salt license and now has to recuse himself on all license votes. BTW, it didn’t save him from being named as one of the defendants (along with Drew Huisman) in the Harmon suit, which is still ongoing.

He promotes “fiscal strength”. So…. how did that confidential assistant appointment get by him? Does his silence mean he supports it? Wish he’d also follow his “better communications” stance and speak up about it.

There have been so many great points made – and yet, we keep getting steamrolled. Why does the mayor, and all his supporting players, feel they can do whatever they want without any explanation to their constituents? Now we have those crazy water bills to deal with. WTH?
Can we have a local candidate’s forum before the upcoming election? It’s so important for us to make an informed decision before our town is run totally into the ground. Who can make that happen?

There is only one clear choice in this year’s election for Belmar Borough councilperson, that person is Gerald “Jerry” Buccafusco.
Jerry grew up summering in Belmar in his family’s home, in which he now and for many years has lived in full time. Belmar is not just a place he has chosen to live but more a place so deeply embedded in his heart and his ancestry. As Jerry enjoys his life in retirement, I know he feels a personal obligation to be a concerned and active member of our community.
His goal in running for office is to bring transparency and accountability to the Belmar council. Jerry is committed to fiscal responsibility and redevelopment plans that meet the needs and approval of the residents. He also agrees with many of his constituents that the cronyism, which has plagued Belmar for many years, needs to end.
I believe Belmar needs a councilperson that knows how local government works, is familiar with the municipal budget process and understands the local municipal ordinances and their application. We also need someone who is not afraid to challenge issues bought before the council and is dedicated to listening to “the people” and not give them lip service or in many cases no consideration at all.
In my opinion Jerry Buccafusco is the only candidate that meets all of these needs. He exemplifies his dedication by appearing and commenting at many council meetings both in person and remotely at the council’s “zoom” meetings. He is always well prepared and if necessary, will challenge the mayor, council persons, borough attorney or business administrator if he feels something is improper, lacks transparency, is not in accordance with borough ordinances or not in the best interests of the residents and taxpayers.

Belmar Republicans….you can make a difference….Please, Republicans, resist the urge to vote for Jodi Kinney simply because she is GOP. While Jodi seems to be a very nice person, it seems obvious from last nights debate that she will simply be a “yes” person on the Council….we have been there before and it does not help our town. Just vote for Jerry and you will see positive change. Change will occur because Jerry will question ill based decisions, thoughts, and proposals that are ill conceived by leaders of all parties. He would be just 1 vote on the Council, but his voice will let Belmar Locals know, by providing accurate information, whom we should vote for in the future, whether it be a Dem, GOP, or Independent…. Let’s stop making it about the Party and make it about Belmar. Let’s start this process right now with your vote. Let’s start moving in the right direction….Jerry will communicate with the residents on the true issues in our town…start now and just vote for Jerry.
What we have here is three people with no idea of anything. One guy is close to a hysterical teenage girl all upset about a fish who might die from a plastic bag. The next is just another wordologist/lawyer who is part and parcel to the mess we’re in and the third is nice lady who is unqualified to sit on any governing body due to her woman’s female nature.
