Did the town ever review the suggestions put on the website by residents?

The pavilions are still a very controversial topic, and it should have been a simple fix. Stop the politics and cronyism and think of the town, not the builders’ pockets.

PS: the town website needs an overhaul. Looks unsophisticated. Also hard to navigate and needs more photos of the town

Yes they reviewed them but most suggest a lower cost. The present council is not a fiscally responsible group and very pro union thus they want as much $$$ as possible to go to the Democratic contributors and unions to get the work. The Mayor is not a Mayor of all the people even though around 1000 voted against him, like Obama he could care less what the others have to say!

Unfortunately, Councilman Brennan doesn’t have a choice …. Last May, his vote was bought and paid-for by the IBEW Local 400 …. The Belmar Democratic Committee took the money.

I wonder if the union guys will have reserved, front row seats at the Mayor and Council meeting on June 3rd. If the burly union fellow who spoke vigorously at the meeting last year before the yes/no vote shows up, I hope he is limited to five minutes to talk like the rest of the speakers from the borough. That guy was not from Belmar, by the way. Different rules must have been applied.
