I’m Sure There Is A Perfectly Good Explanation

But I’m dying to know what it is.

Bill Gates follows Sabin-Wilson. I wonder if he follows Belmarnightlife.com. Why would (her) this company World Press have anything to do with the garbage they are offering. They have some serious clients, or claim to. So odd. The other guy won’t even identify himself.

You don’t mean Word Press, you mean WebDev. And the only link between WebDev and BelmarNightLife is that this Brian Messenlehner is behind both.

On the page with pics of their employees if you hover the curser over a picture it says who it is btw.

I just want to know why 2 places list 601 Main St as WebDev’s address and what would motivate anyone to produce that belmarnightlife blog/facebook/twitter/instagram. Is this guy Messenlehner really behind it?

Hi it’s me, Brian Messenlehner. BelmarNightlife.com is a website that I own as an individual, it is not affiliated with my company or Belmar’s administration in any way. The website itself is a really cool concept, it aggregates photos and content from instagram (and hopefully soon other popular social networks) into one place based on targeted keywords/hashtags. The idea is all of the content on the internet about Belmar will be located in one place. Unfortunately an account on instagram keeps posting these photos soliciting local “hook ups” and using a hashtag for #djais. I wrote some code to filter these posts out so they don’t show up on the website but I recently found the account keeps changing their name and is now using the #baranticipation hashtag as well. I’ve stopped these hashtags from being auto-posted to the website for now and they have to be reviewed in draft until I can remedy the situation with code. I don’t want these photos on the website which is why I deleted them when I saw them and why I’m spending my time trying to prevent them from displaying automatically.

As far as my business being registered at 601 main street, that is incorrect. I’m not sure why those websites say that but they likely got their data from the same place which was inaccurate. Neither of those websites look super credible and I’m willing to bet that my business isn’t the only one in their database with invalid information. I used to run a local public WordPress meetup group out of Borough Hall back when Belmar.com was on WordPress, maybe that is where the mix up was, I really have no idea. I moved the meetup to Cowerks in Asbury Park once Belmar’s WordPress website was replaced with the terrible websites that the current administration is currently running today. The current websites really make Belmar look bad as any kind of tech savvy municipality but that’s a whole other issue. My vision for BelmarNightlife.com is more than just aggregated photos, it’s to give local people and visitors a glimpse into what’s going on in the town in semi real time and to be a platform for anybody in the town to contribute any content they would like, except adult content, that will never be permitted. Feel free to join the website, you can register with your Facebook or Instagram accounts…

I hope I cleared everything up. Thanks!

Interesting concept Brian. Once you figure out the code to block the inappropriate content this website will have more useful info than the Belmar municipal website!

Brian, thats no excuse. You shouldn’t be pulling hashtag metadata from sources you don’t know because this is exactly what could happen. You’re making the belmar bars look as if they’re local bars to kick up hookers in. You should make your own content, like go to the bars with their permission and take your own photo’s and gather your own content to make a website. Again, something fishy is going on here..

I wonder who the lucky person was who contacted you and pointed you to this blog to defend your self, lol…

For the life of me I just can’t understand why this gentleman created a site called Belmar Nightlife if the intent was just to inform people in real time about what is going on in Belmar. The site name tells all. Guess Belmar has no daylife. There is visitbelmarnj site that is very informative, facebook and other social media. Of course it’s none of my business and he can do as he pleases, but reading this thread I just find it odd. He must really love Belmar.
