Too bad LDOA isn’t code for Legislation Dead on Arrival.
Its all about getting extra tax revenue from the food served.
This is not about Sandy recovery it is all about true greed so the three owners can get richer at our expense. The borough bears the burden of policing and first aid for their wandering drunks. The residents have to deal their mayhem. The year round license owners lose business when they paid for 12 months while djais paid for 6
Belmar residents – per Dave it sounds like DJs has TWO seasonal licenses.
Everyone knows the impact DJs has in the south end. The question is WHAT WILL THEY DO WITH THE OTHER LICENSE PLUS A TWO MONTH EXTENSION???
Sandy hit Belmar on 10/29/12 and Djais Season would only have been through 11/14/12 so any business they “lost” due to the storm was negligible. They did receive 3 year waiver to open 3/1 to help “recover” from Sandy. What a joke
Can’t believe the mayor has not come out mugging for the cameras to say this is all about putting people back to work – cooks, bartenders, dish washers, bouncers. Oh wait – maybe he can’t come out and say that considering all the jobs he killed by not permitting SALT to open for the past 3 seasons. Think how many people his personal issue with SALT put out of work!
What the Djais owners donated to the bill sponsors’ campaign is less than the cash take for cover charge at the door on an average night. They must see this palm greasing as a good investment

What does the Mayor of Brielle think about this related to Waypoint which has long been a concern of neighbors? How about the Mayor of Sea Girt related to Parker House and their concerned residents? Is there any other impacted Mayor other than Matt supporting this?
What I’d like to know is why Djais private security personnel gets immediate police officer assistance for apprehension of their customers who urinate in public in the nightclub? And the fine is ??? Dollars?
And if you call a police officer/special about the creeps who leave Djais and urinate and/or vomit on your property you get police assistance when?
Please contact the legislators outlined by Dave and tell them you do not support this. All is takes a few quick calls or emails. Last time it worked and led to Gov veto
