Crooks
they are owned by the bar owners. Pathetic.
Horrible! Too many bars, too many drunk people staggering about
HaIL to the Chief. Maybe the Somerset guy from the south SEA pulled some strings?
In some parts of town SLEAZY is so easy and we all know you by the color of your stripes.
Take the kids in before dark.
#6 – Kids go out?
Ocean Avenue 100+ car meet lat night. Guess what’s coming: March Millennial Meets on boards and Ocean Avenue every night? Rev your engines flunkies and blast away.
We Thank you legislators from Union and Middlesex Counties. Good job for BELMAR and others MONMOUTH county residents. Just what we need, Quiet Enjoyment of our properties.
Tax Appeal videos would be appreciated to show devaluation of our properties.
You must be older than me?
Cash is king. Connect the dots which got the bill to where it is today
#8 – was Raj Mukherji (Booze Bill Sponsor and Belmars newly appointed labor attorney) there revving the motor of his hideous green Porsche?
Remember back in the day when guys thought the could get girls with their rods? Unfortunately they found out that the only ones who were attracted to them were other guys.
Nothing ever changes does it; boys will be boys with their toys.
Maps are so interesting. Wonder how your homeowners insurance is going to be impacted by the increases and liquor license increase? Give me the real rate Belmar so we can appeal our tax values based on 9 months of puking, pissing and robbing as a result of the extension of 9 month long licquor licence for the nightclub in our back yards as of 2017 that is if Christie signs the bill? Will DJAIS be sold now to northern gangsters?
1. Midnight bar closing sounds like a way to eliminate the trouble and a lot of police overtime.
2. Places that serve alcohol and charge an admittance fee, should be taxed to cover the police costs associated with a 700 person nightclub in a small 1 mile town. The time has come for a 10% tax on the cover charge fee.
Midnight bar closing only creates a double problem . People party in Belmar then leave at midnight to other towns and then come back . Tried it and didn’t work and it punishes every bar in town which is already at a disadvantage competing against asbury and red bank which are better towns when it comes to being business friendly
There must have been a huge secret why the TAVERN OWNER’S Association didn’t do a full court press to squash the Seasonal Liquor License extensions.
The reason we have the St. Patrick Day Parade in Belmar is due to Jerry Lynch and Dave Stanley + powwowing to figure out how to capture the Newark parade customers before they went elsewhere to celebrate by persuading the Newark parade bigwigs to transition to Belmar bars before the summer season started to save the tavern businesses. Read between the lines.
#15 What?
Donate????? NJSPOTLIGHT ????
#14 – Asbury and Red Bank are more business friendly towns? Merchants in both towns complain often that the parking meters hurt business. And red bank taxes are very high.
