Looking Out For The Little Guy

Belmar Mayor Matthew Doherty said if the bill makes it to the governor’s desk, he hopes Christie signs it.

“It’s a benefit for small business and their employees here in Belmar and the other Shore towns that have seasonal liquor licenses,” he said. “What this legislation does is get working class people back to work sooner.”

Different sets of rules for different small business owners. Contribute support $, align with ideology of the ruling class, provide free drinks and admission for your pals….and your every whim shall be catered to. Otherwise….go pound sand (I mean SALT)

This is nothing more than getting more sales and tax revenue for the State. Christie should be ashamed of himself, giving alcoholics more choices to drink, yet he is doing ads for drug addicts what a Hypocrite. The small town of Belmar has enough alcoholic we don’t need more.

How does anybody these days believe that a CASH business pays taxes on all Cash transactions conducted in the liquor establishments of Belmar? Does the ATF come and count the inventory, bottles in and bottles out? Not yet, awakening that sleeping giant is a possibility. No special recycling pickups anymore.

Working class? Doctors, Lawyers, Indian chiefs? Who will be designated the Chief Cook and bottle washer in Belmar? Who knew Belmar was such an Aristocratic stronghold that needed the “working class plebians” to come in to do their labor?

Was this an unintentional looking-down-the-nose comment about union members? Cliche: looking a gift horse in the mouth? Brick layers, iron workers, carpenters, etc. built America. More bars to be constructed in Belmar?
