Call the Senate sponsors district office and ask him to hold the bill! Call a few times a day, flood the line. He is the only one who can stop it now.

Excited for this bill to pass. It’s about time all businesses flourished during parade season. This will attract so many people to Ocean ave & pull in revenue for all surrounding establishments.

#8 – what “surrounding establishments” on Ocean Ave will be open on parade day – Sunday 3/5?

More opportunity for Belmar cops to make $ by being hired to babysit their patrons. I know the bar supposedly pays for the cops standing out in front of DJ’s but do the hours they work count toward their pensions?

Mothers Against Drunk Driving reports that there were 22,201 DUI arrests in NJ in 2016. Do we really need more of this?

What are the numbers of DUIs logged in Belmar, Lake Como and Wall during summer versus winter, 2015- 2016? What’s the revenue and how has that affected insurance premiums for the towns where the arrests were made.

Check out crime references in your neighborhood. And see what property pays the highest taxes for the services that are provided.

#12 – I’ve always thought there should be a waiver on people driving drunk. For example, possibly for an extra fee, a driver could be issued with a decal for his car that allows him to drive while over the limit of intoxication. There could be different levels of course, each costing more for the driver. Such as mildly intoxicated costing one amount, all the way to drunk beyond able to speak the language costing the most. Think of the amount of money we would bring in by instituting graduated drunk driving permits (quite possibly Belmar could issue their own waiver for such drivers and collect locally for Belmar and Lake Como while waiting for Trenton to enact a statewide law). Of course, such licensing would cost out of states more than NJersyans. We could make billions (drunk drivers would flock here). I’m sure we’d become the envy of all the other states in the Union.
