When construction on 10th Ave. begins, then you can file law suit. The redevelopment law
does not give the powers to “expand” an existing redevelopment area. Seaport Redevelopment “area” is defined by the Shark River “seaport”. To avoid the appearance of impropriety, Mark Walsifer who owns a commercial building next to U.S. Post Office now in the “expanded redevelopment/ study and area should recuse himself from any vote on the matter. Just sayin!

#3 …. You are probably correct …. vanpools and telecommute reduced trips to NWK, JC & NYC …. still, most employees need to show their face in the office at least once or twice a week …. to keep a good pay job.

I love the banter between the uniformed and even less informed commenters on this page. I guess it is too much to expect an intelligent conversation about the elephant in the room, namely total abuse of redevelopment law. So the folks arguing about how many use the Belmar train and what they are wearing these days. The subject is BLIGHT! See any?

#4. The developers are not the same as Anchor and 9th Ave. They are the same people who did the building on 8th where stay gold is and the old haven and Hamptons which is called River Walk.
#2. The east side of Main is not in the expanded redevelopment area. It was supposed to be on first go round but the took it off in the end. So Mark Walfiser has no conflict.

If Jaeger Lumber yard is assessed at land of $345k, how does the town value a similar sized, right next door property, at $100k.
