Tonight: Dem mayors’ Dos de Mayo!
.
Maybe this is why tonight’s Council meeting has been postponed.
.
Tomorrow: Meet, greet, bitch about Trump and Christie
.
Sounds like great fun.
.
Thursday: Birthday bash for young Vin Gopal
.
I won’t be able to attend as I have a Council meeting I have to go to. Also I’m jealous that he’s so young and I’m so old.
(BTW, the Borough still hasn’t published Thursday’s agenda.)

I did not see Vin in any of the photos from Taylor. Hmmmmm
Coming soon, bash for Matt’s legal defense fund.
No need for that. Taxpayers are picking up the tab.
Gopal piece is interesting. Campaign money can not be used for personal expenses. This is a birthday celebration. However, checks are made payable to “Gopal for Senate”. Question is, who paid for this venue and party ? The invite doesn’t say who paid for it. Is Gopal using his campaign account to fund his own birthday party ? Nowhere on this invite does it say this is a campaign event. Last time I looked Vin doesn’t hold public office so this can’t be an expense incurred because he holds office. If this isn’t campaign related wouldn’t the RSVP be different ???
Positions should not be able to accept donations. Just leads to corruption.
I’m attending incognito. Dressed as an undocumented waiter. Duh
#4, by the very nature of having, “Make checks payable for Gopal for Senate”, makes this a political fundraising event. It could be his birthday, Cinco de Mayo, it doesn’t matter…it’s a fundraising event for him seeking a Senate office.
Very good old man.
Who do you think paid for the post Pavilion dedication at Brandl’s yesterday were any Independents, Seniors, school children or your average Joe hosted?
Maybe Brandl did it as an in-kind donation for someone running for office?
Bandle only served the Seniors chicken legs! Reminded me of a chicken in every pot depression political promise.
Passed by the marina early this evening,VIP only for marina grille parking lot full, but police crossing pedestrians across Rt 35 and a radio car standing by in the parking lot, is that a off duty job or on the tax payers
Bill McKim has photos on FB of the “Event”. He must be a big wig.
#10 Of course we taxpayers paid for the police presence. I would be shocked to find out we didn’t.
I guarantee that the Marina Grille customer crossing Rt 35 will be as safe as walking on the Moon?
Once again, the inexperienced mayor and council have combined to make a mess. Of course, there’ll be all sorts of problems with the new restaurant. It’ll be interesting watching the new restaurant, the pier, the charter boats, etc. handle this mess. Of course, the charter boats will be fine in that the fishermen come early (but then they have evening fishing in the summer). I was surprised when the boat skippers didn’t show up during the council deliberations about the restaurant. I live right across Rt. 35 from all this. I foresee a St. Patrick’s parking situation all summer long. It’ll be as funny as a “rubber crutch” as the saying goes.
#14 He is not inexperienced, he knows exactly what he is doing!
