The listing has Belmar #53 and Paterson #55 ???? I feel much safer in Belmar than when in Paterson. Just another example of meaningless government statistics.
The Hordes, that the Mayor courts for his businesses, make the difference. They come here, make their mahem in our yards and the crime statistics escalate! Is there a seasonal vs annual report or are the figures manipulated, say like our Animal House criteria compliance?
#1 I think you should read the article again
#2 Doesn’t matter. We in Belmar suffer from THE HORDES at a such a high rate(summer) that leveled over 12 months still makes us where we rate. Only solution is to leave June, July & August
If many residents flee Dodge for the summer months, those “hordes” would probably sneak into private driveways to park and trespass on property because of lack of oversight.
I love the mayor’s explanation for redevelopment (i.e., increasing apartment housing) is to increase the number of town residents in order to support the Main Street businesses. Huh?
Vote them out, one by one, beginning with the band guy this Fall, of course replacing them with members of the Element. Or at least with candidates sympathetic with the Element who will not compromise their integrity.

Is a month by month comparison available? This would show how crime escalates during the summer months.

The Hordes already block driveways, trespass, defile, pillage, etc.
#5. They won’t run! They will complain. But they will not run. They know what needs to be done. But they will not run.
Crazy to have belmar so close on the list to paterson. Belmar has a drug problem, hence the crime.
I don’t know how they can print those
numbers we do not have any crime in
this town. Does anyone ever talk about
It? No. Does anyone ever read about it?
No.Are we ever on TV except for storms?
No. Therefore we have no crimes in this
Town. How can this be?Because our mayor
says so. That is why.Now we understand.
#9 Tulip Most of the “crimes” are drunks (disorderly persons) thrown out of bars, and contempt (refusing to leave the area)
Tell that to the break in homeowners.
