As a member of St. Rose Parish for 50 years, and involved with the planning of this holy event, I can assure you that every effort is being made by borough staff to assist in every way possible with the planning of the mass. . I’m involved because the Religious of St. Rose reached out to me…knowing that I’m familiar with borough procedures. While a mistake was made with scheduling …let’s look at the bright side…the Kind, amazing, spiritual Bishop will be co-celebrating the mass along with Monsignor Arnister..and a beautiful mass will take place. Yes, a scheduling error occurred, was corrected, and we’re moving forward as all parties continue to plan…I’m thrilled to be part of the effort..and am grateful borough staff members are actively involved …I had to add a positive word…” To err is human.. To forgive divine.” ( Alexander Pope quote). I thought this an appropriate saying for many reasons.
August 6th though, is the date of the Feast of the Transfiguration and would have been a much better date for an Episcopal visit.
#1 – Great to see that you are still lurking around this informative blog.
Administrator…No doubt…also… Much depends upon the availability of The Biahop…love that he’s involved!
Administrator-I’m impressed do with your knowledge of the Catholic faith…you have immersed yourself in the faith of your wife and daughters…
I must confess that a friend of mine at my office who is a devout Catholic and who reads the blog pointed this out to me.
August 6th is a potent day:

Not that I am biased or anything.

Administrator-No confessions necessary…..I’m happy that plans for the mass at the gazebo are developing nicely in spite of the scheduling faux pas.
I will refrain from weighing in on Massgate as well as Claire improper English in #5. To err is human ,so true. Thank God this blog has rarely had to correct or retract like so many liberal media giants these days. Keep up the good and noble work Dave.
Great proofreading Ted! Go to the head of the class! I revised one of the sentences..failed to delete one of the words from a previous version…guess you’re big on Strunk and White…not as illiterate as you try to make me out to be…but thanks for your time …you’ve been in Florida for quite a while now… Guess you can’t find a cause worthier than correcting/nitpicking…Best Of Luck in discovering new interests and pursuits..you must desperately miss Belmar! PS… You missed my spelling error of Bishop in an earlier comment…..hit the wrong letter…you’re smug, but not as clever as you want people to believe…
Oh Contraire Madam. Being on permanent vacation affords me plenty of free time. Truly I do not want people to believe that I am clever, witty yes, clever no. Speaking of a sense of humor, I was listening to Rush Limbaugh on the way back from the boat today. He had an entire 3 hours on why liberals have NO SENSE OF HUMOR. I could not stop laughing.
Sorry Claire but I have been true to the cause. Fortunately my Senator Marco Rubio and my U.S. Congressman Tom Rooney have voted Aye on all significant legislation thus far especially the VA Accountability and Whistleblower Act recently signed into law by our president. That freed enough time to call Corey Booker’s, Frank Pallone and unfortunately Chris Smith’s offices. As an unbiased nitpicker, I sent notices on social media to veteran groups in my old district alerting them to Chris Smith’s action. Busy. got to run.
Au Contraire to you, Monsieur Ted…your claim of being witty is a matter of opinion. One question…what the heck does all this talk of Senators and Representatives have to do with my comment-error that you were so anxious to point out? Guess you’re trying to explain how you’re busy keeping abreast of national events. (?) A few mea culpas will do…
Also…all of my liberal cohorts have great senses of humors…I include myself ..love a good laugh..funny that you mentioned Rush Limaugh…he’s been the laughing stock with his inane remarks over the years..if I recall correctly…made some big snafus over time… And has had to apologize, well, for him just being Rush basically…he must say exactly what you wish to hear…going along with your conservative view of the world…
Start earlier in the morning ….a sunrise mass would be nice.
…why…are..there…so… many periods in p…rope…Er English when there’s only 3 in a hockey game? This is ridiculous. The point is that the town couldn’t properly schedule the damn bishop. It’s not. A faux paus. It’s a standard of conducting businesss.
#16….Can’t help myself….I love dots! I also love French words..faux pas, au Contraire…..Monsieur…savior faire…au revoir… I could go on and on with dots and French words! …… …………………………………
We have awakened a sleeping Giant.
Why did the liberal cross the road?
To give away someone else’s money.
Why did the conservative cross the road?
To avoid the beggar on the sidewalk.
Was that funny?
Say “shut up,” Dizzy.
“Shut up, Dizzy.”
Hey at least we aren’t on the Trump blunder…http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world-0/us-politics/donald-trump-g20-summit-hamburg-hotel-room-germany-us-president-meetings-a7827166.html
Please tell me that there will be parking for this special event in Belmar. Will there be senior transportation provided by Belmar as was done for the 5th Avenue Pavilion political opening?
Maybe fulop could send one of his free senior transportation buses to pick up Belmar seniors to take them to the Bishop’s Mass?
Or Monmouth County’s SCAT transportation could be requested and the porta potty people could donate maybe?
22,23,24….Great suggestions! I’ll bring them to Monsignor and the borough staff…we have worked out a plan for parking spaces…from A St to Ocean Ave…along 5th and 6th Ave. to be cordoned off for The Bishop, church staff and people attending the mass…also shuttle buses will be available at the Acme lot…behind Pyanoe Plaza…but I will inquire about the SCAT buses as well…still working on details..
And make sure there are daily beach passes available for purchase if by chance John shows up to perform an impromptu baptism by the sea.
