Doesn’t mention Wayne Blanchard went to the seasonal liqour license hearings with djais crew to speak in support of it and also his interest in devotion vodka (illegal). Assemblyman from another district in Belmar Grandstanding for dirty Doherty of course. Puke
So that is why Bill came all dolled up for Wayne
The fact that nobody spoke a word about Mayor Doherty ignoring the Pay to Play ordinance with his appointments to the planning board proves it’s all about the elites covering for other elites, with them telling us lowly taxpayers what ordinances the elected officials will abide by. For the Democrats it just another day. For the only Republican on the council it shows apathy and cowardliness. Hopefully when Mark runs for Mayor, it’s under the Belmar Democrat party banner so not to confuse the town about how he plans to govern if elected.
It is clear that the council members and the attorney are complicit in ignoring the local pay to play law. Only they can enforce it. Use that information when it is election time. Scofflaws all of them!
Pay to Play = Walsifer cannot vote on his own clients.Period. Walsifer is adhering to the Pay to Play Ordinance regardless of what his opposition tries to put him into a box.
Enough of council people stepping down off the dais because they betrayed your trust for their own coffers.
Yes, Mr. Walsifer stepped down in the trash removal vote, but did not speak up before the mayor appointed the Planning Board members. Maybe he was not allowed to, but still it seems that he did not attempt to rock the boat. Playing it safe, I guess, after all, what is one voice and why make enemies with those he has to work with on the council and his lordship? And Brennan mentioning his son regarding the beach chair job matter? Opportunity to preserve nepotism? Brennan said it in so many words.
Natty Maatty gets to take his campaign monies with him as he leaves Belmar in the dust. There are no dustbusters on the horizon only polite has beenwhat a joke… good to have friends in Trenton.
Read between the Djais lines. Old rockers in need of support for their Golden Parachutes. Why wouldn’t they support Murphy’s and STATE POLICE position on year round liquor license approvals vs 6 months. Seniors were easily bought off with free buffet and dollars drinks for putting up with mayhem for 3 months. Sit back and put your seat belt on for the next ride folks.
The science of Anthropology rules the masses.
The former councilman fiber blighted Belmar and moved to Spring Lake to get-away from the eyesore overhead utility mess …. He didn’t get Belmar nice Underground FIOS that time around …. except for Inlet Terrace
Verizon gift to you: 40 years in this day and age? Even Brennan smells a rat. Magnetic interference with your brain waves? Erosion? Liability? Too many what is for this blog. Take it or leave it deal in 12 days Belmar? No benefit to being a Beta Site that’s for sure. We need more visitors to soak up Verizon Wireless on the beach for x amount of time and then pay a premium thereafter? 2 years down the road with a 40 year lock in? What then, the sky’s the limit. Take a look at your Cable bill and then try to negotiate with your provider, Well i guess we’ll see you in the hospital after your negotiating stroke.
Aren’t internet hotspots all over already?
Do those hotspots piggy back on paid subscriber connectivity?
How many Millennials pay for connectivity?
Verizon baited with the “free wifi” and barely mentioned the “pay cell phone installation” as part of the deal.
Verizon would keep the cell phone revenue and sell the fiber to Frontier

#4…..It may be of interest to note that one of the things the boro attorney is being paid to do is to assure that the pols in office follow the law so the boro is shielded from costs associated with failing to do so. Also, If pols who are required to recuse do not do so and a person becomes a planning bd member as a result is any planning bd decision such a member may participate in subject to being voided by a court to which an appeal is taken?
We should get more than 2 years of free beach WiFi for giving them 40 years of cell towers access on boardwalk.
#14 Belmar court? I believe that the mayor appoints the judge, so how far could an appeal go? Currently the situation is grim for change until the mayor and council members are voted out. Remember that Brennan won by a finagled hair and seemingly mail-in ballot shenanigans, so change for the better can happen if awareness is raised in the borough about how bad things are. Many people here are totally ignorant and seem to want to stay that way.
Superior Court, Monmouth County would hear a Planning Board challenge not at a Municipal Court level.
