Do you have the payroll for the school. Why was the ex Chief of Police still being paid?

ABSOLUTELY ABSURD POLICE SALARIES. Sure the police salaries are showing overtime BUT the police are bilking the bars, the special events, the contractors for “security & safety” and then the cost gets passed along onto the consumer and tax payers with increased prices and rates. Wake up people!

#4 Even if the private entities pay Belmar Law Enforcement we still have to pay Pension money on their private earnings because payouts go through the Borough’s payroll.

#7 – Not true. All pension payments are calculated off their base salary. 10% from the officer and then the town makes their payment (10% + whatever they owe from years of not paying from the Democratic Governors). ALL off the base salary. Everything else is just gravy.

#8- Correct, However what needs to be divulged is whether the Boro charges an outside employer a fee, either rate per hour, or flat fee for the job, to cover additional costs incurred, taxes and insurances. Does the Boro charge the employer for the use of a Police Vehicle? If additional Overtime comes out of the off-duty job, such as a last minute arrest at an establishment, who pays the additional costs? I would bet to say it’s you the taxpayer footing the bill. Check it out Admin.

How do we have police officers making $50,000 more than the county prosecutor and county chief of detectives? Those are two of the the highest ranking law enforcement positions in the entire county? All for a one square mile town that statistically has very little crime.

#13. It’s easy Unlimited overtime by the white shirts. Huisman 190,000.00 Cox 201,000.00 Campbell 208,000.00 and Scott at 168,000.00. A quarter of a million dollars for 4 officers. They work every weekend making OT. Must be nice to come in whenever you want to make over 70,000.00 in OT in 2017. This is what happens when you have a poor leader. Rizzitello was charged for stealing time, so should this group.

#13- That’s a total of about 900k for four employees. Greed amongst those, harbors resentment in the ranks. Is anyone overseeing this? Horrible.

All I’m saying is we seem to be focused too much on $signs. Of course the salaries are ridiculous. But attention should be pointed towards getting rid of the inexperienced gang that is behind this type of thing, our elected officials. I’ve always thought inexperienced men are much worse than bad men and that’s what we have – two bookend “teachers” the nice lady and Matt.
