Busy Half For Belmar Dem$

LIUNA still big givers

I haven’t looked at the reports for the Belmar Democrats for a while.  The information from their last two quarters is pretty interesting so I decided to share.

3rd quarter 2017:

Pulled in 10 grand.  Let’s see where from:

$2000 from Electrical Workers.  $1.66 from Michelle Casserly?

$7200 from Laborers

Disbursements:

Why are they paying Act Blue donation fees?  Act Blue was Brennan’s thing.

The 4th quarter’s report is even more interesting:

Over fifteen grand collected.

Another $7200 from Laborers and also $7200 from the Democratic Governors Association, both on the same day.

What’s with these $1.66s?

The disbursements:

$7000 went to Parano & Associates, a political consulting firm  that worked for Phil Murphy last year.  Another $4300 went to the state Democratic party’s Victory 2017 fund.

There’s also $1300 for the printing and mailing of materials for somebody’s campaign I guess.  No idea who.  A quick search of the NJ ELEC website shows no reported in-kind contributions to anyone’s campaign made by the Belmar Democratic Committee in 2017.

And what’s up with these Act Blue fees?

Will there be that many job opportunities for heavy hitter donors to get in Belmar? The redevelopment and McMansion craze is over now, right. $o why should their be such big donations to either party this year?
