So let’s get this straight. Another media outlet has a quote from the queen of mean Colleen stating over 30 applications have been received. If you look at who these applications are to be mailed to it states mail to Director of public safety. So is she the director of public safety or is she opening his mail? Or is the queen really in charge? OT cone man this might be a federal crime opening someone else’s mail, why don’t you ask them while you’re on our dime learning how to properly place cones along the tidal change. It seems to me mean Colleen is the big shot caller, the stay at home Dad answers to her and he speaks for the cone man. Is this a dream? Oh no this is Belmar where the government has run amuck….wake me up when this is over…..the trio has the fake news going full steam….Game on….good luck this Summer…..

I know this doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the lifeguard issue, but it is connected. If you listened closely during the meeting, it was said a couple of times that they’re having a difficult time finding people who can qualify for the job of lifeguard. That’s an interest of mine. We’ve had to lower the standards for everything in this country in the last 30-40 years. All anyone has to do is look at the majority of our young men and you can see they’re not qualified to do anything physical beyond picking up a hamburger. If there were a military draft today like during Vietnam, the young guys wouldn’t have to run away to Canada to avoid the draft. All they’d have to do is report for the physical. intellectual and mental examination and they’d be declared 4F (unacceptable) on the spot. Don’t be fooled by the other night. Those fine young men were the exception, not the rule. Anyone my age will tell you the same thing. It’s really interesting to still be alive and set my eyes on these type of young men.

I see one of the requirements is that the lifeguards have to work in varying weather conditions. Does that mean beach badge checkers are required to work in Rain, wind, cold?

  5. I just happened to run into a lifeguard yesterday who works on the beach my family and I sit on. He is very very pissed about what is going on. But he also said that the Boro violated something called the Rice rule which is something about talking about employees in public. He said the town should expect multiple lawsuits stemming from all of this nonsense. As a lifelong resident of Belmar I for one am sick and tired of footing the bill for the mismanagement of this immature administration. I am all for a recall!

Liar for hire Matt & queen of mean Colleen sit behind your ivory tower and somehow blame the OT cone man aka acting chief aka director of public safety while you open his mail (illegally) with the fake applications……….maybe you should trade the parade day green jacket for one with jail stripes……Game on…..good luck with the Summer…..

Many thanks to the administrator of this blog for keeping the public informed of this total mismanagement of our beach patrol. We are a proud group that stick together. It’s a brother/sisterhood, something that Dirty Doherty has never experienced because he’s never had a job

Connelly said she would make correction to the media about the pay scale for rookie lifeguards. Claiming that the ordinance says the pay scale starts at 8.50. Well, it is a FACT that rookie salaries for the past 2 years have been at or above $10 per hour. If any guards came back they would actually get a decrease in pay under the new proposed pay scales. Correction was never made as she claimed she would at the last meeting. Its like they think that saying guards are getting a raise will attract more people to apply. In reality they are putting penny pinching and meager budgetary that the town could easily afford over the lives and safety of the very people Belmar needs to survive. Bonkers stuff really.

I’ve inquired and a Lifeguard captain made 10.65 an hour Summer 17. According The to the pay scale they the 3 fake people put out a beach Capt would make 15 an hour…..this is not fuzzy math it’s a 65 cent pay cut an hour & this is not even looking at the rank and file. This is so they can BS the gullible media…..get the facts not the fraud they put out….Game On…..have a lovely Summer
