So I guess Brian and company voted for themselves? Other than that who the hell would want them in office again?
The Democrat letter writing machine is on full display this week in the Coast Star. Nice letter from McGovern daughters which leads us to ask if Brian believes all those things about Belmar then why has he stood idly by for close to a decade allowing a North Jersey carpet bagger using our town as political stepping stone to put us in the position we are today. The daughters’ letter closes saying he has no political aspirations beyond Belmar trying to finally distance Brian from Matt’s track record of bs for which he was a pawn and rubber stamp. Brian’s own personal letter also makes a feeble attempt to finally distance himself from Matt by saying “Change already happened in April” but where was that sentiment to have an original thought or dissenting viewpoint for all these years. The Democrat ticket campaign of Putting Belmar First is a joke given the way Brain McGovern, Jen Nicolay, Janice and Music Man have stood by as rubber stamps to Matt’s ego and aspirations which put developers, favoritism, pay to play and politics first over the best interest of the residents. This is not leadership. They were manipulated by Mr. and Mrs. puppet master as pawns or what the founders or communism described people like this as “Useful Idiots”.
Useful idiots = Sheepeople. Come together now, restore Fireman (fighters)First Aid Squad Fairs, Christmas Tree sales, down home boat parade at Christmas and the like. Bring back local spirit.
Brian’s letter- War on potholes, cutting of tree limbs and stop sign program. Give me a break. Does this guy really think the people of Belmar are idiots. Well you are if you continue to vote for these incompetent incumbents.
If the Democrats get in then there is zero hope for mankind. It’s almost as bad as “crossing the streams”
Does every apartment complex in Belmar have ONE WAY signage opposite their driveways (across the street) to direct occupants that their exit roadway is on a one way street? If not yet, wait for it.
A vote for Mark Levis is a vote for more of the same. Eerily similar to the way a young Matt Doherty came to power
Mayor Mcgovern is right about the age of many brave men and women that served their country during the Vietnam war. Did Brian serve and if so does anyone know what branch of the military? If he did not serve, anyone know why not?
#2- So spot on. They are trying to distance themselves from the dirty politics of Matt. Each one of them was hand picked by Matt because he knew how easy it would be to manipulate them. And he was right.
Too little too late. This town has been the Doherty’s ‘how to get rich in NJ politics’ experiment long enough. Vote them out and start the disinfecting process.
#8 – I’m not a McGovern supporter but he was too young to have been part of the Vietnam war. The man is only in his early sixties. All you have to do is do the math and your answer is there.

NY Gov Como’s name is checked off (illegally) on a Board of Election Voter sample Instruction notice to the public? Sounds familiar? I immediately thought of Cooleen’s wording on a Board of Election Ballot Interpretation, deliberately misleading the Voters of Belmar. Connection between the two instances? Maggie & Como & Cooleen? Who knew? The deception cost Belmar big time $$$$. Thanks Brian for keeping her on as Borough Administrator. She’s cost us a bloody fortune.
Okay, all the talking is over. I hope everyone gets out and votes for the Walsifer, McCracken & Wann teem.
