BTW, CRDA doesn’t want to comply with my now not-so-recent OPRA. After two requests for extensions, both of which I allowed, my September 20 submission was finally answered November 8.
Still considering what to do about it. It kinda seems even more important now since in the interim Small has become mayor. (Interim.)

Seem like you are being stonewalled.
It took them that long to just end up denying the total request? Hhhhmmmm…..
me thinks similar OPRA requests are indicated, dont you? Maybe Govenor would provide requested information.
WTF?
Ms. Farias seems more qualified for Matt’s position than Matt. Is the chessboard being played?
#5 – Nah, this girl has everyone beat in my book. I don’t know when I’ve seen such outstanding credentials.

Why does he need a deputy that makes 150k a year? This is machine politics in NJ and it’s costing us a fortune. Matt Doherty is an intellectual lightweight that has no business being the head bathroom attendant let alone the head of a large, bureaucratic, money laundering operation like the CRDA. I say keep fighting for the documents. They have a lot to hide. Plus, knowing that Matt knows that Dave is still a thorn in his side makes me smile.
The new “queen” may be moved into place to replace the “king” if his indiscretions in Belmar become more known in Trenton. If Matt were smart, which is questionable, he would be very careful. This is, of course, possible if someone is watching. Behave, Mattie, many in Belmar do not want you back.
Oh, Trenton knows, Trenton taught him. It is only when it becomes politically embarrassing that anyone pays any price. The CRDA is a well funded club for political cronyism, nothing more.It is one of hundreds throughout the state. We all bicker about our minor idealistic differences and use our political party as infallible teams that we root for at all costs. When our starting quarterback gets arrested for beating his wife, we come up with ways to excuse his behavior. When the coach is caught paying for sex from underage prostitutes, we allow it because he brings us victories. We are so entrenched in our “side” winning that we get taken for a ride as we abandon our own morality. Reading the various posts on the blog is a microcosm of what happens nationally. Truly decent men and women don’t stand a chance in this political climate. Only the most vile and bombastic can be heard. Of course we all like to blame the media but the media just feeds us what we want. You wouldn’t blame the vending machine for making you fat, would you?
So, the things Matt Doherty does and has done won’t mean a thing in Trenton until decency is restored in our political discourse. It has nothing to do with party and everything to do with you and me.
Bob Menendez was not embarrassing enough, I suppose. I wonder what would have happened to Rod Blagojevich in NJ. Nothing.
#9- So true. We are all just little ants in this large world, ruled by those politically connected. I cringe when I hear a young energetic kid tell me they are going to college to major in “Political Science”. What exactly do they teach them??? Ethics??? NOT, Morality???? NOT
10 Right, Menendez should be behind bars or at least out of a job. And look at Chris Christy, horrible vindictive opportunist that closed a bridge over his own ego and enriched his brother with tax payer funds. He’s still on talk shows for Pete’s sake.
All across this country there are republican and Democrat politicians committing crimes against the people and they keep their jobs because of blind political loyalty.
We have a double standard that we employ when the guy (or gal) from our ‘team’ does something that we would not tolerate from the opposite side. I honestly think that Belmar should enact a non partisan election rule. It won’t change the county, state, and national mess but it’s a start.
