From the linked-to Kivvit press release:

Kivvit today announced the addition of several new members to their continuously growing team. The new hires represent individuals from a variety of backgrounds and specialties, bolstering Kivvit’s ability to operate at the highest levels of public affairs and communications. Joining the Kivvit team are Jason O’Donnell, Andrew Fries, Michael Blaustein, Geoff Mullings, Lauren McCaskill, and Shea Savaria………………………..

…………………………..Jason O’Donnell will provide clients with strategic counsel in the areas of real estate, regulatory affairs, energy, transportation, and legislative issue advocacy campaigns. He recently served six years in the New Jersey State Assembly, where he represented the 31st Legislative District. He served on the Labor Committee and Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee. Jason served for 20 years as a firefighter in his hometown of Bayonne, reaching the rank of Captain. In 2009, he was appointed the first Director of Municipal Services in Bayonne, where he oversaw the consolidation of three key city agencies into a single department. Jason will serve as a Director and work out of the New Jersey office.

BTW, O’Donnell’s retirement last summer made some news:

I wrote a little about the Dohertys’ connections with Bayonne politics back in 2014.  You can see it here if you want.

And in an unrelated bit of news I have this for those of you who were wondering what ever happened to Paul Calabrese:

In this upside-down boro called Belmar, all to often those with integrity, discipline and smarts get the booby prize, while the total incompetents get the trophies. As a resident/ taxpayer for many years, Paul Calabrese was the most honest of the lot of borough engineers. He brought us through Sandy, beginning with the reconstruction of the boardwalk. He was the only one who spoke the truth about the trumped up reasons for the change orders to said boardwalk. Later when I did an OPRA for the engineer documentation for the Ordinance to make all of Belmar an area for rehabilitation, he refused to change the date of his work thus showing that the officials passed said ordinance without documentation. Even Maclearie Park
he was the only continuity and credentials on a totally failed redevelopment project.
I wish you well at Matrix, don’t look back.
So who got the proclamation- the trophy- Bill Young- the no experience business administrator who resigned his position once Sandy hit and in his less than one year of service, screwed us up royally. Paul deserves even more credit for being one of the only then Birdsall engineers to avoid indictment ( no small thing ).
