Wondering what ever happened to our new assessments which were supposed to be mailed the week of the election?
Looking at the “Belmar Alerts” page we see nothing since the old alert from two months ago, one that we’ve already read and was re-published here at that time..
But if, on a lark, you decide to click on the link you’ll see that we have no idea when the new assessments are going out.

Wonder if they will extend the appeal date?
Instead of wondering IF, how about asking what is required of the Borough of Belmar tax assessor, by CODE, to responsibily notify property owners what the requirements are to lawfully invoke a tax appeal from the date of RECEIPT of a 2017 tax assessment notice from the Borough of Belmar?

All the old rules have changed but the Monmouth County Bd of Taxation should still have knowledge of matters such as these. Rather than enquire in Belmar and get an unreliable answer why not start in the county and see where that takes you and let the rest of us know.
