I want to thank all my friends who sent their well wishes to me both in the comments and in emails. I really appreciate all the attention but honestly I don’t think it’s going to be so bad. I know plenty of people, even some of you guys out there, who have been through stuff far worse than this. I really only mentioned it because I want people to know why these pages will be silent for a week or two. Also it was fun to make jokes about Schneck’s neck and pains in the neck etc.
Seriously though, I was up in New Brunswick yesterday for my pre-admission testing and stopped by the surgeon’s office to drop off some papers. In the waiting room was a very nice man who was there on a follow up from recently having had the same procedure. He told me everything went great and that he had never felt better.
I think I’ll be fine.
Oh, and a reminder. The Borough Council meeting starts at 5:30 this evening instead of 6:00 so students from Belmar Elementary School can have their annual mock Borough Council meeting. (I know, I know, they’ll be better than the grown ups.)

Sending our best and cheerful thoughts to you sir hoping that soon you will be saying “I never felt better” just like that nice man in the waiting room.
Maybe they will learn from the comments here and show them how a Mayor and Council should operate.
Glad they are finally getting to do this. They put a lot of time and hard work into this!

Here’s hoping you come home with your conscience, wit, integrity and unparalleled writing skills in tact. As for the pain in the neck – I’m sad and sorry to say … he’ll still be here (sigh)
