I thought Matt was against eminent domain. The Authority didn’t even have any plans for that property anyway. I think they were just continuing out of spite.
Why didn’t he put an end to this as soon as he went down there?

Because he’s not Mark Walsifer and Doherty won’t cure problems!
Well now, to be fair, Matt did not start his job until what? September of 2018? ( Matt lost enough of his own generated lawsuits, let’s not blame him for those he had nothing to do with)
And the Birmbaums probably wanted the ruling to set presedent going forward. Good for them!
Unlike his actions as mayor in Belmar, lining the pockets of his hand picked $450 per hour, po!itically connected law firm buddies, doherty could have initiated immediate settlement negotiations if he found the CRDA to be in a bad position, if be did his homework.
He would have been more than another 4 year political hack it be wanted to protect CRDA investment monies
#3. That’s possible but it’s also possible the Birmbaums didn’t want to negotiate. Maybe they wanted it ruled by the courts.
Who knows
in Jersey .. Trenton sends bad players to Atlantic City
#2 – I agree. And we have enough of a mess to focus on in Belmar, we don’t need to spread it to Atlantic City.
Is the CRDA an Autonomous body?
