Sketchiness prevails again
If you don’t follow procedure on a mail in it shouldn’t count. Get it right or go to the polls.
So what are the rules if someone does not vote correctly?
I fault the original count for not looking at those. If they are valid now then they should have been valid on election night.
So Tom Brennamen was right. He knew he was getting +3 votes on Josh in the recount. How was he privy to such information?
This all smells really bad. Get the judge.

What saddens me more is this potentially very “teachable moment” will be wasted on the

Isn’t it curious that 3 people made the same mistake by circling name? Same household or same handwriting?
If someone is stupid enough to not follow simple instructions, their vote should be voided.

Can’t help but notice that every candidate endorsed by Kenny Pringle loses. HM!
Maybe, just maybe the messenger who may have helped the mail in in vote was the same person? Who is going to challenge?
If a 15 year old circles the answer on their SATs vs filling in the dots, they would fail. How is this acceptable? There must be something left to do. Does anyone have any ideas? Can we research the current submitted votes 1 by 1 to confirm the voters are actual residents or didn’t vote in more than one election?

On a more positive note, I want to thank Josh and his family for the time, effort, and sacrifices they put forth during this election on our behalf. This is no mandate for Mr. Brennen or our current administration. Lessons learned on both sides. I would love to see some attitude changes on both sides. Again,thank you Josh.

NJSA 19:34-1. False registration or transfer; penalties
If any member of the district board shall willfully refuse to enter in the canvassing books or upon the registers the name of any person legally entitled to vote, or shall register the name of any person contrary to the provisions of this title, such member shall be guilty of a crime of the third degree.
Any person who shall cause or procure his name to be registered in more than one election district, or shall cause or procure his name or that of any other person to be registered, knowing that he or such other person is not entitled to vote in the election district wherein such registry is made at the next election to be held therein, shall be punished for each such offense and shall be guilty of a crime of the third degree.
No district board shall execute or deliver to any voter any paper in the nature of a transfer, purporting to authorize him to vote in any other election district unless he is actually registered as now provided by law.
Any officer or employee who shall willfully fail to perform or enforce any of the provisions of this title or who shall unlawfully or fraudulently remove any registration records, or who shall willfully destroy any record directed by this title to be kept, or any person who shall willfully or fraudulently register more than once, or register under any but his true name, or attempt to vote by impersonating another who is registered, or who willfully registers in any election district where he is not a resident at the time of registering, or who violates any of the provisions of this title, shall be guilty of a crime of the third degree.

Half of Belmar voted for you Josh. That’s impressive. Folks want a new mayor. They don’t want to get rid of Tom Brennan. That’s why you didn’t win. Under new leadership, Tom will do great things (and who knows, maybe sooner). I’m hoping by the time you get on that Dais you won’t need to shake things up.
Can this be contested?
#28 Are you crazy? Plenty of the Demorats voted for Josh. In normal times Tom would have run unopposed. This guy Tom brings absolutely nothing to the table. The fix was in again. The belmar residents got screwed

Why is anyone allowed a vote to look like that and be counted. How do they know it wasn’t a No vote?

The out come of this vote. It sounds like they should have been thrown out and not counted. They expect you to read the directions and follow them. When the question arose recently asking
where the Belmar poll workers went to. I would be very happy to explain the situation. But it is very similar to the recount story.

Let’s see if the next time he has to recuse himself from voting, Brennan steps down from the dais, not pushes his chair back like his lawless leader. Sorry, he may be likable by some but is still gutless and self serving. I am surprised that his name was not printed on the reusable bags that he promoted.
