I was perusing the website of the town of Hampton, NH this morning (Hampton Beach is a district within the town of Hampton) and made an amazing discovery: It’s run by a guy named Bean!
Hampton doesn’t have a mayor and council. Like most towns up there they have a (non-partisan) board of selectmen. The chairman of Hampton’s Board of Selectmen is a fellow by the name of Philip Bean.
Hey, there’s a link to videos of the meetings!
Hey, the public comments session came 15 minutes into the meeting!
BTW, New Hampshire has no state income tax, no state sales tax, no state capital gains tax, no seat belt law for adults, no helmet law for adults, does not require car insurance (although something like 90% have it anyway), fireworks are legal, and no permit is needed to purchase and open-carry a firearm. (It also has the lowest homocide rate in the country.)

There are also Unincorporated Communities which are very interesting to see. Taxes are a great deal less for the most part.
Property taxes are the 2nd highest in the country but the property tax pays for most of the cost of state government along with county and municipal (including schools.)
The one state with higher property taxes than New Hampshire? You guessed it! New Jersey.
Hmmm…this could be a sign.
Please don’t leave. You are our inspiration.
