This stunt is not only illegal, but it is downright stupid. New Jersey is now another state in revolt of our federal government. This new society needs to grow-up, toughen-up, and return to the America made of producers, providers, and survivors.
I guess the dope final made it to Trenton.
Governor Murphy said that the new tax bill disproportionately helps the top echelon. Then he says the average property tax bill in Monmouth County is 8800, falling below the federal 10000 duduction limit. So what group is our Governor’s idea helping?
Also, he said that 33 states have such a law but it’s about school choice, not about property tax. Apples and oranges. Plus when people start to demand the school choice deduction how do you argue against it.
And thirdly (and this is my own personal prejudice I admit)
If Murphy is using Matt Doherty as a proponent for this, I’m against it on that alone.
Uh It won’t work. The Feds, although greedy, are not stupid.
Phil is not as smart as i thought he was, if i was him i would stay as far away from Matt as i could, he is an embarrassment to the Democratic Party or is he? It makes Matt feel he is important.
#5 The democratic party is an embarrassment. Having Matt there , falling asleep, just makes it worse for the Dems.
“Let us pray…” that the Gov notices me and cuts me a deal soon.
Oh and bipartisan? Any Republicans mayors up there?
Did they ever think that maybe the problem is New Jersey’s tax rate is to high, and we are over taxed… Why does the new federal tax reform plan work for 46 states and only 4, one of them being NJ, are complaining????

Thinking outside the box?? How about all those Mayors agree to form one Entity? From Aberdeen to Manasquan and West to Marlboro. 1 government. 1 police force, 1 DPW, 1 Emergency service. etc..
Consolidation and remove duplication of services? Fat chance!
