The article probably should have noted the numerous meetings that were cancelled by the Borough Clerk, which were probably done at the mayors direction.
Notice all the ads do not mention the failed lawsuits, and found to be violating civil rights. They all must be held accountable and voted out, no excuses.
Thank you Katrina for holding Matt’s feet to the fire at APP press time. I have to laugh ( or cry ) when I think of all the dirty under-handed things Matt has done during those 20 hours a week when he is not being a vote and answerable at regularly scheduled Mayor & Council Meetings. The joke, the real joke is that Belmar is one of only a handful of NJ municipalities with the Mayor running the meetings and having an equal vote as a councilman. AND LOOK AT HOW HE CONDUCTS HIMSELF!!!!!
the mayor need only attend some backslapping events
He is only pandering to the crowd. It’s like Barnum and Bailey, fooling some of the people with another circus coming onto Belmar every week. And, youshould know by now that your gonna get hit with, yeah, that’s right, YOU are holding the bag for his circus events all the time.
Who do you think pays for grant monies? Yes, you pay for grants via your federal income tax on increases. All the FREE money gas to come from somewhere and it is paid for by YOU.
It all started with the favored vendors for the storm, then the mishandling of the Shop Rite cards which i believe was intention to see if he could get away with it.Then trying to spend as much money as possible and rig the biding process so only Unions could do the work. He has had no intention of compromising or even listening to the feedback on the Pavilion process. Then padding the revenue by increasing the parking. This all has cost unnecessary money that is Public money and wasted the courts time. The 2 council members have been complicit in this and not only should they be ashamed of themselves they don not deserve to be re elected. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Vote these 2 out and do not make Matt a Freeholder.
The mayor does not have to attend meetings as long as his four puppets vote for what he wants. Does not look good, though, and how does he fit in his “real job” if he devotes 20 hours per week to mayor activities? I want to see a time sheet – wait – can’t ask for that as I doubt he has a private sector job at which he is accountable.
Violating civil rights. That would not have played well in the 1960s. People have either forgotten or do not care, or worse yet, are too young or privileged to have that resonate with them.
People, take back your power, vote the culprits out.
