The trick is to see this type of thing coming before it becomes critical. The problem is sometimes you get caught up short, they happen before you can react. Then you just have to hope for the best.
As people exist more and more in this new manner of living, these things will increasingly occur. As I don’t see people going back to living normally (engaging with the physical environment surrounding them)these things will become the norm. Then people won’t even know there was another way people used to live. It’s all fascinating to observe.
Belmar has never cared about DUIs. If they did they would setup a checkpoint every Tuesday on 16th Ave leaving Bar A. Or they could have beach cops perform field sobriety tests to every car that tries to pull away from the metered spots along the boardwalk.
The difference with Belmar and surrounding towns is the residents are respected. Their opinions matter to the governing body. Here it is about power and control. If you keep electing the same and expect a change that’s the 1st problem. As residents we must be united in order to accomplish what is best for residents not visitors.

#10….can’t do that, its called entrapment.
the owner of Bar A, Thomas Jannarone, is also a respected Lawyer
Remember when the billboard ads were advertising the DUI representation by Jannarone, et al.
It’s a helluva turnkey operation. Get em drunk then represent them
So ban parking on the streets after certain hours, like in Spring Lake, I think. Right, like that would happen, too sensible.

Last year there weren’t as many submissions as in 2016
