thank you Coast Star for investigative reporting!
Apparently, our elected officials put “low value” on Belmar PD work.

Eugene, Belmar PD has become as busy as NYPD hence the extra Captain etc. Time is on our side, eventually the truth will come out on all the events, and it will not be a good outcome for the Mayor, Council and Claire.

Dave, question for you. Is the vote for the pay to play still on for the 27th of Sept. or did I read that the Borough will be appealing this latest court ruling? I have absentee applications that I need to distribute but I want to make sure of the date of this special election.

Joan, On the absentee application form, once the appeal time elapses just make sure that voter knows to check off the special election part with the correct date themselves. Maybe the BOE needs to hold a public service announcement/forum to guide the real resident voters of Belmar. You’re a righteous person with steadfast beliefs in the common good.

Did the chief really say that the work load the Belmar POLICE Department incerased by half?

What does he attribute that increase workload to exactly? Little old Lake Como has how many residential streets vs Belmar?

Can anyone explain why Lake Como is so much more labor intensive for the police department than Belmar was last year?

Does the new police captain still schedule her own OT even though she is still exempt?

It’s all a scam. Matt is making Lake Como look busy to use it for his political campaign. Matt told Acting Chief to barrage LC to cover 25% of the OT and budget. Wilton handed over the keys and bank accounts of LC to help Matt out. What a pal !
