Guess that debunks people saying the BPD don’t do anything!
Wouldn’t have to do as much if Belmar would get back on track and replace bars with single family homes like we did in the 90″s and watch our property values skyrocket for a second time! Take this crap over to Asbury and soon to be hip Bradley Beach? we need toes the long view and get back to becoming more like Spring Lake and Avon – if for no other reason than property values increasing and well as the quality of life here.

Worrywarts: around Memorial Day Belmar had 31 confirmed Covid cases as of Aug 24 – the number is up to 51 – 47 are now fully recovered with only 4 active cases – that’s with the Beach operating via Mayor Walsifer’s Plan and Bars and Restaurants open with outside dining – how about a little credit where credit is due either we were very lucky or this Administration actually did a solid job – I’m a believer that you make your own luck- good job Mayor and Council

The hiring of Huseman is a scam to all taxpayers. I’m sure we will be paying for him to go to school and get his electric license. The mayor and council are trying to dupe the taxpayers by calling him a “confidential assistant “ so they don’t have to advertise the position to a QUALIFIED applicant.
This hiring is a payback for something that happened at boro hall that was swept under the carpet. Ask kirsbaum .
Seems to be a lot of homeless in Belmar recently. Are we allowed to direct them to the houses with the “In this house, we believe: …No human is illegal” signs for food and shelter? Seems a easy fix for the homeless and the property owners get to show how superior in caring they are to their neighbors.
Do you think they lock their doors? I don’t know why they would if EVERY human is allowed there. Just wondering..

Overall, the mayor and council have done a decent job. They aren’t perfect, but they’ve handled this summer well and considering the mess that was given to them by the do-nothing, fake friend, loser democrats in this town who care nothing about any of you, they deserve credit. But then again they are politicians, soooooo….
#12 most of Belmar visitors are not from Monmouth County so Covid cases would be reported where they live. Bayonne, Jersey City, Hoboken, Staten Island, Pennsylvania

Welcome to small town politics.). Have any of you seen Avon Pavilion restaurant? They are seating people inside with the windows open. Why aren’t you happy for these entrepreneurs trying to keep their business open & employees paid? I’d like to see what you would do if you owned a business and your family and your employees families were counting on you!

Why, I like Belmar. I never mentioned anything about the town of Avon nor its preference over Belmar. I was pointing out businesses in other towns are doing the same things that Flames and other places in Belmar are getting ridiculed for doing. Sorry you couldn’t grasp that concept.
