Three “selfies”
From the NJ ELEC handbook:
Although they still need to be corrected in an amended report, the above violations are not as problematic as this one:
“Act Blue” is a liberal PAC that acts as sort of a Go Fund Me page for Democratic political candidates. The $506 represents donations of unknown amounts from unknown contributors collected on unknown dates since Tom’s donation page’s “inception”.
Below is Brennan’s donation page:
Here is what Belmar’s Conflict of Interest ordinance 9-8c says about that:
Here is the penalty:
So until the $250 penalty is paid and the $506 in anonymous donations are returned, he is barred from the following:
Well he is already conflicted on liquor licenses. For tonight’s agenda he can’t participate in the redevelopment workshop, vote on the redevelopment resolution or vote on the payment of bills list. If he doesn’t pay the fine and cure the violations within 30 days he will be barred from participating in the above matters for three years.
That’s if the pay to play law is obeyed, anyway.

According to Brennan’s full report, he took in $5051.00, he deposited $4876.80, he spent $1635.70 and has a closing balance of $6512.70
Sounds like Doherty’s budget.
Write in – James Bean
Go on, you can’t believe a member of njea does creative math do you?
#2 I like Jim Bean. But he won’t win. Are you that naive or just a Brennan fan? Jim Bean will run again next time. For now vote for Josh. Got it?
Not a fan of the Dems and Brennan BUT if you want to talk about campaign contributions then lets look at Josh’s report based on what he says and what his supposed supporters post on this blog. Pay2Play shows up in out-of-Belmar large contributions. Josh has only two from Belmar. Like last year he, Mark and some out-of -town big spenders are financing the campaign. Brennan only 5 out 16 ( if you realize Colleen lives in Avon and not the Borough Hall. 13 contributions from supporters are under $100. No such support for Josh. Gee, you’d think Old Man and all the others hot on Vallarion would put some money where their mouth is by now. Now about expenses. The candidate with low name recognition is sitting on 5 grand, no signs, no mailers, no door hangers.
His R1 is avail on the ELEC website. He’s getting help from his and Mark’s personal friends that aren’t from Belmar but there is no conflict there and nothing illegal or unethical. Brennan’s, on the other hand, is a legal mess.
#3 Those that can’t get a job teach and those that can’t, teach teach music or gym.
Mailers went out. More coming*
So vote for Brennan. I’m an old ,broke old man. So shut the hell up. Jerk!!
Brennan, like Doherty and the rest of the local administration, believe that they are above the law. Until the law catches up with them, which cannot be soon enough. At least Senator Menendez may face judgment due to a judge’s good sense. That should shake up the Belmar scofflaw crew a bit.
