Why doesn’t the town just buy it from the church? Oh I forgot, we are broke because M&C refuse to cut/trim the budget. And don’t forget the reason taxes will be going up next year and the year after and the year after is due to the prior administration. Vote Jim Bean, no other votes please. Just vote for one position.

#2- Ok I’ll bite. Who IS the answer? It would help if you would qualify a statement like that with an alternative. Certainly not the two women chosen by Matt? So Carvelli and McKracken? Or are you choosing none of the above? A protest vote? Please bestow your wisdom upon us. If there is a reason you feel Bean isn’t the answer, please let us know why.

#2 – I agree, more tax increase are the answer. Lets go for 15% next year and keep blaming other people!
Isn’t it better for the town to consolidate these activities into other municipal-owned sites (Taylor Pavilion, library and muni building)and not stand in the way of the church selling the property for redevelopment? Town gets residential taxes and North End Builders gets to raze another building and make $$$.
The pavilion, library, and muni gym are good alternatives, you’re right on that. But who said the town is standing in the way of the church selling the property? Also, who said the job will be done by NEB? You have some inside info?
