They found a loophole in the system!!
Fire the person in charge of fulfilling OPRA’s so when a OPRA comes through to find out who was fired, it can’t be fulfilled because she was fired. LOL
At least one of the people fired had a legally required job: records custodian Kristen MacLean. She had been at the authority, in varying roles that included writing policy and running the communications department, since 2006. She was not only in charge of fulfilling Open Public Records Act requests, but also supplying documents to lawyers and investigators.
Since MacLean was fired, the authority was unable to fulfill a basic request for a list of the employees who were fired — which Murphy’s office declined to release — because it did not have a records custodian in place.
I have OPRAs filed with them that are overdue.
