I was at the meeting last night and thought it was well run. The heavy set man sitting at the table with our attorney was from a company engaged in find out about our pipes down at K&L Sts. The whole affair was done in an adult manner. It’s a pleasure to go to a meeting now.

#1. The problem I have is that the mayor takes the time to praise the BA and Campbell because of the time they’re spending trying to remedy the poop problem. People, it’s their job !!!

As far as Taylor Pavilion is concerned I like the fact that the Mayor is going to put together 10 different catering companies that can be used if you book an event. My question is are they going to limit the number of bookings that Merri Makers can have in a given year? I think every effort should be made to lessen their monopoly on our Pavilion.

Chefs’ contract gives them exclusive right to sell food at the marina, even during special events like the boat show. I guess that it is for the entire 40 year duration of the lease.

#5 I totally agree. If MM books an event, they should have to produce a name and a deposit check. Currently, they just blanket book summer weekends and hold them until they get a request. Any and all bookings should go through the boro. Even MM should have to go through the town to book an event. If they have a request for a $50k opulent wedding on a Saturday in June, they need to provide a name and a deposit check. Otherwise it goes to whomever else wants to book that date. Period.
As for Chefs and Marina Grill, it should be a great summer to view the human turd migration into the Shark River. Enjoy, Bennies.

I would love to see a Disabled Veteran set up a hot dog cart to cater to the fishing boats. See if the town has the nuggets to side with Chef’s and throw them out. NOT

So nobody else is disturbed that the sewer consultant stated more than once that a pump station up near L Street has not been operational for a long time, and nobody on the council even questioned this? Heads need to roll, and roll now.

#12 I’m disturbed! They all acted as if the pump not working is no big deal. The pump was installed for a reason and if it doesn’t work my guess is it will put a strain on the whole system. All the pumps in town should be monitored and when one doesn’t work fix it. Don’t wait years to do so. Common Sense!

Apparently Campbell at $185k a year doesn’t know what he’s doing. Can’t they find someone out there at say $250k-$275k a year, maybe $300k, that may know something about how a pump works? Any takers?

I’m tired of this mayor’s approach to not fix blame and just more on when he should take action on employees who have failed at their job and fire them. Time to drain the swamp!!!

Hello Gene. I don’t know about “Safety,” but I do know about working/doing things in a safe manner. The use of the word [safety] to stop people from doing things is an agenda.

All I see up there are 5 dopes, 3 of which ran around town last fall telling us how they were going to speak-up and make positive changes. Next time one of you can stand-up and demand to know who was responsible for a pump station not working for years!

#21 That’s a little harsh. In all fairness, if the Dems had won, the same nefarious, selfish, corrupt activities and negligence that McDirty and the Queen of Mean practiced would have continued and got worse. The town was operating at a zero profit for years! At least this council has the stones to uncover all of this and move towards a solution. You can cry all you want about who was responsible in departments but that isn’t going to fix the situation.

How many times did any of the current, sitting Council members get up to the microphone before they were elected and address the former mayor and council on their mismanagement, deeds, FREE this and that? Did anyone of them ever plead against the outrageous 5th Avenue Pavilion Budget at a public meeting? Did they ever come to the microphone at all on a myriad of bad directions being foisted upon us by mcdirty? Me thinks not. Haughty doesn’t work now that you’re on the days does it. Thanks Dave for our voices.
