Are some of these people always this smug at the meetings? Wow, these people were elected to represent and serve the community and the way they talk to people is with their “I’m better than you attitude” is appalling.

The town site has been skipping some of their daily postings of covid cases. According to the county we were at 25 as of Thursday I believe. I think the town says we’re only at 13. Will they continue as things open up and more people start coming to town?

The Covid-19 malarkey is just the latest con job, flimflam, scam, etc. being pulled on the American people. Here’s the scoop on it. yes, the Chinese were playing around with something in a lab and it got away from them and into the population. It was/is an enhanced form of flu.

Here, in the USA, the govt. and their buddies saw an opportunity and ran with it. They know the three main groups affected by it are the old people in old age homes (already with degraded immune systems), minorities and foreigners (bad living habit and degraded immune systems), and obese people (degraded immune system). But they shut the entire country down and create a nightmare for the entire population. But there’s a lot more to this than the illness. We’ll only know when it passes what it is. I’ll just venture a preliminary guess right now. One of the things our owners wanted was more people to work from home. When this is “Over”, many more people will work from home. Possibly a third of the workforce.

#6- Don’t believe the numbers game. As the tourists flock here bring their germs with them and get sick, their stats will reflect their home towns. Hence you will never get an accurate reporting of how or when Belmar becomes a Hot Spot. Residents, stay home or move to N. Dakota for the summer. Just a heads up.

I attended many of the meetings when the Doherty crew sat upon the dais, and they exemplified smugness. Limiting the members of the public to a mere five minutes each to speak? What the heck was that? At least the new mayor lets people speak without shutting them down. Smugness is in the eye of the beholder.

I’m disgusted by the fear mongers on here and FB that say Belmar will become a Hot Spot. Leave then! You live in a vacation town. We are going to be open for business and that is a good thing. Get over yourselves.
