And their lawyers…
Here’s the check:
Understand that this is not a simple case of Belmar stiffing a vendor and then being forced to pay for the services rendered, as is what happened with Partner Engineering. Belmar fired Broadco after only a couple of days on the job and replaced them with union-friendly J.H. Reid. We paid Reid to pump out the water. Now we’re paying for it twice.
Between just this and the $200,000 the P2P fiasco cost us is a half million dollars blown that we have absolutely nothing to show for.
No wonder our mayor doesn’t come to the meetings.

This again shows the incompetence and ignorance of the Mayor and Council. Broadco legally purchased the accounts receivable of Birdsall. The town attorney should have been asked to negotiate the debt, Belmar would have paid less.
You mean Partners.
Yes.
Judgement of 225,600 and counsel fees award 28k…check 259,600. Was the extra 6k a tip?
Judge awarded $6000 in late fees
Also, Northgrave isn’t FREE!
Again I say to you. If the two demorats get back in then it’s over. Please the last person leaving Belmar shut off the water and lights.
Northgate = malpractice, say clients, BELMAR residents.
Brian seems comfortable spending taxpayers’ money. Bold signature, above the line and on an upward slant. Just don’t give him more opportunity to throw the borough’s money away. Vote him OUT!
#8&9…this was political malpractice committed by the mayor when given the opportunity in the confusion of the Sandy aftermath and then again with the rubber stamp on the pay to play ordinance fiasco by the mayor’s minions compounding the mayors malpractice . the net result as has been pointed out is 500k plus of loss to the taxpayers who cannot sue the mayor and council for the loss[really too bad not an available remedy] leaving only the vote out of office option. Fools may ignore this option leaving NO remedy.
Sandy didn’t wash-away contract law …. 4 years later we pay for mismanagement.
To the future people who wish to be a Mayor or Council member, you should read this book, and if you don’t have honesty, integrity, or ethics do us all a favor do not seek office.

#12 Key word is “read” – I doubt that the mayor and council members read much, maybe what’s on their smart phones, that’s it.
#12…. Just look up sample ballots for Momouth County…. You will note that most BOE election are uncontested and many council seats are uncontested as well…. The most talented individuals are dedicated to private industry and we have many want-to-bee’s in public office…. This is the reason our country is such a mess…. Vote for change on Tuesday, we can balance the council, however we are stuck on the BOE….
You are correct. The Unions control the boe not the other way around. The members not just in Belmar are intimidated by them and do not have the skill set to negotiate and properly purchase items. There is a great deal of research needed to make a purchase if you never have done it before and are unfamiliar with the products or service.Books unfortunately have a kind of monopoly so that is always an expense hard to control.
#15 – The main problem with the schools is they’re completely outdated and the federal govt. has taken them over for all intents and purposes. The idea is to continue what is known to not work so as to continue to put out the dullards known as young “adults” we see walking around nowadays so they will continue to reelect the type of poor souls who are in office now. It seems to be working very well.
Don’t worry this settlement and all legal fees will be paid ( as was the $925,000. Partner settlement with the 2012- 20 million dollar boardwalk reconstruction bond. When you approve a $20 M bond for a 9M job the gift just keeps on giving.
