Can we please go back to a town without party lines? We should be doing what’s best for our town. I’d vote for the independent just to prove a point, but based on this article, Gerald seems the stronger choice.

Of course, Brennan is a joke, but the other guy is just as unqualified. As to the person of the female persuasion who is running, such positions will do her or the town any good (female women should be spared the company of such riffraff as the men who sit in our councils – they’re too good for this).

Why have an election at all? Just crown the Hudson county hack and let him run things.

Independents are great. They take votes from the partisan challenger and help maintain the status quo. Brennan’s gonna do great in his next term and we can thank Jerry.

#7- May I suggest you too vote for Jerry. Or perhaps you are one of the many that just vote for a party? Totally asinine. Political labels on a municipal means NADA. Look how terribly the Dems. and Repubs. have failed this town in the past ten years. I have done much research and would vote for Jerry over the other two regardless of his so-called political label.

Seems like a lot of people on here have “done their research” and are insistent on who we should vote for. Gerry come lately suddenly seems like a great choice with his website and eloquent responses. Yet he, and you, ignore the way politics works in this town and as a result we will be stuck with the same old same old. I’ll look for him at meetings after that happens

The two guys running for town council are totally unfit for any type of office and the nice femail woman is a menace in any office due to her nature.

#9- If you feel your vote against the status quo (Dem or Rep.) won’t matter, then stick your head back in the sand and please don’t complain when nothing changes. Your taxes will continue to go UP UP UP. I promise you that. Apparently YOU know “how politics works in this town”. You, my friend, are asinine with your comments. Others, please vote against “No show Kinney” and “Useless Brennan”. #voteforjerry

My vote is for Jerry. He will be able to put kirschbum in his place. Hopefully out to the curb. The fact that this mayor and council did absolutely nothing to him, Huisman and Poff for stealing boat slips is unconscionable. Campbell sealed his own fate.

About the question on Marijuana on the ballot. Can you imagine the jockeying going on to get appointed the first Marijuana Czar here in NJ? Can anyone imagine the collection of baffoons salivation over getting selected to head up the new pot agency (I wouldn’t rule out the recently retired head of our DPW)? Maybe the governor will even select one of these individuals to represent NJ down in Mexico as the laison between state of NJ and the drug cartels (I wonder if the cartels would want to get mixed up with such a dirty organization as our state politicians). There’ll be endless possibilities opening up if this pot question passes.

Wow. Those 349 votes might have unseated Brennan but instead they were wasted on Gerry. I guess we’ll never know. Good luck keeping Ed K in check. Asinine.
