Hopefully the political winds will have shifted by then and the developers will scrap the ‘condos that can be seen from space’ idea and replace it with a more suitable design.

#3, that would be contingent on any new administration nixing the idea of condos. Wouldn’t it be nice to hear from any candidate regarding this issue ?

Why are they postponing it? Maybe they believe that the people will forget by then. No way is that going to happen because we are going to fight it to the end. Time will give us more ammunition.

There should be a postponement rule. Only x amount of times they are allowed and then they lose it. 5 days before Christmas? No one will be busy or away !!!

#4, Council administration cannot comment on the condos because it is a Zoning Board issue. If Zoning doesnt pass it, the petitioner gets to apoeal to the Council. If the Council denies and there was any appearance of pre-judging (it is like a court trial in that way), the petitioner can sue the town.

Maybe the applicant needs more time to get his ducks in a row.

Or maybe they are rehabing it now from the inside out and will be done by Dec.

Or maybe there will be different plans offered up.

If only we didn’t have the D’Jais crowd this could be a cool B&B. No B&B owner would ever take the risk in that location.

This meeting is scheduled for after the election. The winners of the election cannot be blamed for the outcome, if this matter passes or not. The zoning board members, all Dems, were appointed by the former Mayor Doherty. Strategy.

What if the Developer decides to present a 55 and over concept for the Belmar Inn @ the December meeting? Ever think about putting in a lounge? There’s kitchen facilities already. It’s the wave of the future. Boomers and under don’t want regimentation in any manner. A Diner-like atmosphere would work well there. Boomers would love the location and convenience.

Will Boomers love the parking situation? They will size it down

    Could work.
But the bottom line is private housing
Where people take care of their own. If
    they respect their property everyone
else will. I hope this is a plus for the neighborhood whatever it is.
The White House property should recoup
all they feel they lost on 12th Ave.

Of course the market will attract the successful, vital Boomer, first.
Bet there already are offers beyond investor ownership stakes.
