#2- I believe that to be correct. He was given the opportunity to purchase the property for $100k. The same piece of property that if you or I owned it, would be paying taxes on it valued at say $300k-$500k. Does anyone know how this is allowed to happen without selling this property to the highest bidder at a public auction? I brought this issue up one year ago when re-assessments were ongoing. How can our tax assessor tell you with a straight face that your 100′ by 150′ property is valued at $300k, yet the town sells the similar property for a third. I just don’t get. Does anyone have a clue??

Belmar Redevelopment = Fire sale of Borough assets.
    Count them:
    Marina Grill (Marina)
10th Avenue (parking lot for $100K + 13th Ave property)
LOKO (16,000 sq ft of vacated River Ave for $1)
