RuhRoe… Maybe its a good idea for Belmar to start wearing Police Body Cameras?
Hey BelmarGuy – You still want bars & nightclubs all along Ocean Ave?
If your leaving a bar that is know for problematic patrons, at 1:00AM, and don’t comply with police, you are looking for trouble… I stand by Belmar police, if you mouth off and police kick your butt, that’s just to bad….
#3- I’m really starting to like you Summer. Are you a Ms. or Mr.
You should respond to police officers requests. A simple “sorry for being loud” would have prevented this.
#2, you bet I do! Maybe Belmar PD should condone them selves in a better manner than being punks & putting their hands on others. I expected more out of Erik & Michael.
#6 Maybe patrons should condone themselves in a better manner than being punks, then the police wouldn’t have to intervene!
#7 – Intervene/intervention
—————————————-
Interesting word[s]. In my three days of police work, my partner and I had to “intervene” quite a few times during our shifts. In that we understood the people we were policing, we were able to do an okay job. The difference between myself and my partner at that time and now is we were part of the people we were policing and after our three days we were just back as members of that overall group. Today, the police aren’t experienced enough many times to quell a “disturbance” before it gets out of hand. Unfortunately, it’s because they don’t have experience that things tend to get nasty. Put them out on a beat and let them get to know people and they will get experience. you don’t get experience sitting in a car playing with a gadget.
If people confront and challenge the police either verbally or physically, what do they expect? Not taking “crap” from police, in their perception, will just get them in trouble. A “yes, officer” should settle the matter. I wonder if those two people were intoxicated.
Lawyers get many court cases from D’Jais patrons.Djais is good for our court system.
Not the first lawsuit not the last involving Djais…
Their bouncers are known for “roughing patrons up on their way out.. look how many have bumps and bruises on their heads from being rammed into a walk or chair…
How about Old Man Bill at the front door in his silk shirt and cowboy boots? I can count of MANY hands the first hand stories and my personal experience him hitting or roughing up someone getting kicked out…
The mayor and police are in djais pockets.. we know who controls the town…lets not be niave
This lawsuit is from Sept 2018. Over a year ago. Give me a break. Dismiss this crap lawsuit.
A question for the educated people here. Politically, what would happen if the current Belmar administration tried to shut down DJais & is successful at doing so? Would there be political backlash?
#12-the arrest is from 2018 the lawsuit is current
#13 – If the current administaration was able to do that, I would be extremely grateful!
Good Old Tommy Mallon at it again. He belongs on the other end of a suit.
People move next to bar. Then want bar shut down because they don’t want to live next to a bar. Stupid is as stupid does I suppose.
#17 – Years ago, up on LI people moved next to Mitchell Field air force base (new development) and complained about the jets noise landing and taking off. They shut the base down.
Djais owners still think homes in the south end of town cost $175k like they did in the 80’s. Homes pay more taxes than D’Jais.
