The mayor is acting like he is shocked at the noncompliance… Only reason he is now speaking up is he got caught… There were numerous posts on this blog stating Djais would be out of control when allowed to open… Difference between proactive and reactive… Or maybe it is just a cover up….. Where is the council woman that was once outspoken against Djais….

There were numerous reports to the Belmar PD regarding the goings on at D’Jais on Saturday with all reports being replied that the PD was “advising” D’Jais “management”. Advise their management, they should have shut them down!

From the videos one can see why those shipping containers were moved further out into the parking lot. This move helped them make a larger (obscured & ILLEGAL) outdoor area in the rear of the building. Amazing how the Borough of Belmar is complicit in the illegal expansions (past & present) of their business.

Mr. Mayor. Why is it that you had to see the videos? You live right there and should have been at Djais in person observing on Friday night and Saturday. If there, you could have spoken with Djais management and ordered immediate compliance or order that they shut it down right then and there. Damage is done and God only knows how many people were needlessly infected with Covid 19 due to Djais greed. And like usual there will be no consequences for Frank, Kip and Billy. Disgusting!

The Borough of Belmar has a drone. Its operational with no restrictions. COVID-19 guidelines are at the Mayors discretion and there is a failure to do your sworn duty Mark. Intelligence was widely disseminated before and during the fiasco at Djais and an investigation will reveal that to. Too bad all your other secret investigation outcomes were never fruitful & just a jo to mollify the support team until the Next Time.

What everyone is glossing over is that D’Jais is required to have police there. Why didn’t they shut that down as soon as the numbers outgrew the guidelines?? Is the Belmar PD aware of what is lawful??

How many of you complaining will be in Djais for the free buffets, grabbing food with your bare hands. (I’ve seen that done by 40, 50, 60 year olds, pot calling the kettle black) That clientele is not their usual patrons, just the free loaders who likes to complain unless they get a handout.

No forks needed, are you saying that if djAis throws a party for residents that they should be allowed to facilitate the spread of a deadly virus therefore possibly killing the patrons, parents, grandparents or random strangers?

    Track the bars! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-8459875/Spring-breakers-DID-fuel-spread-coronavirus-study-suggests.html

Spring breakers fueled the spread of coronavirus – especially if they went to NYC or Florida beaches – GPS tracking study of 7 million college students suggests
Ball State University and Vanderbilt University researchers used data from smartphones to assess how spring break affected coronavirus in the US
Using data on 7.5 million students, they found that earlier spring breaks, air travel and trips to NYC or Florida beaches led to the greatest case increases
Cases in counties where more than 25% of students went on spring break before March 9 increased by nearly 4 percentage points more than average
Deaths increased by about two percentage points in those counties

#13— the number of cases in texas are increasing rapidly thats why they had to shutdown all bars. You can’t compare NJ to Texas right now it makes no sense at all. And just like #14 NO I do not hang out at d’jais either.

#14 agreed. The owners who use common sense and follow the rules should be allowed to operate. Those who do not should be shut down on day 1 as you cannot take back a virus transmission with an “I am sorry we will do better”.

Anybody giving a pass to the Landlords and/or their paid real estate professionals who knowingly shoehorn as many kids as possible into their Summer Rentals? Strange bedfellows in every square foot of space in those dumps spread known viruses/fungi let alone a novel corona 2020.
