Interesting that not one media TV, Radio, Newspaper came down to interview the residents that could not get out of their own driveway, or had drunks peeing in their back yard.
What a fiasco. Did anyone take pictures of inappropriate behavior or overcrowding?
Send them to the media
Except for a lot of litter it looks as if everyone behaved themselves.
Yes Dave, we dodged a bullet – got lucky. I don’t think we’ll get lucky a second time.
An Observation #1, a few drunks peeing in your yard for one weekend bothers you??? Come down to the south end when it is an every weekend occurrence!! Sometimes we get lucky, and have it on Thursday night’s as well, that is, if theme night is well attended.
I heard mayor Doherty on 710 this morning. He is so proud of all of the visitors. Look what he has done for Belmar! This is going to be the new norm. His name is spreading all over NJ, for when he runs for a state or county seat.
I forgot the Ordinance # but it is illegal to videotape or photograph the peeing offenders if they are so many 100 feet from a bar in Belmar. Sorry South Ender. Let’s bring back Montego Bay and then things will change.
If Saturday was busier then Sunday, then why did the Mayor only close down the town on Sunday? Rumor has it phone calls went out and Mayor Doherty said “NO” to Saturday.
He is proud of what Belmar is turning into.
follow the cash only establishment$.
Ironically, the 4th Avenue Jersey SHore entertainers used to announce that the parkway and turnpikes were closed to keep the customers at a venue until 11pm on Sundays.
The soon to be “rodhamhood” followers will be around the beltway before we know it. Oops
Maybe we can get the Rolling Stones and the Beach Boys next year and lets see how big the crowd can get, call Guinness most amount of cars in a square mile.
The Gov really should come down and apologize to the Belmar Residents. The state is the one that benefited from this festival. Sales and Income tax raised from the event does not go to Belmar. I understand that the State needs every bit of money in revenue it can get, but it should not be a hardship to taxpaying residents.
