Yeah Jim Bean! Glad to see you run since the newly elected Mayor & Council let the voters down. Yes, they ended and exposed the nonsense of the last 8 years, but raising taxes without major cuts was their failure. You have my families votes and everyone else’s who will listen to me from now until November.
Just voting “no” is easy. Actually finding areas to cut spending and working to gain support of the community and fellow council members and then passing a budget is what we would expect. Don’t just tout voting “no” as an accomplishment.
#4 it is actually a big accomplishment. Something Mark never did, he voted yes everytime. You just have to look at the books to know something was askew and inherently wrong. Bean went over them line by line. Proposed plenty of changes. All fell on deaf ears. You obviously never paid attention. Bean has my vote.
Walsifer “played it safe” by voting yes on past budgets, something Bean would not compromise his integrity for. Bean says and does what he believes is right which speaks volumes for his character.
I reiterate that only voting no is easy. If he’s up for the task then Jim can start naming who he will cut from the payroll so there is no tax increase. I want to know before I cast my vote.
#9 So you want names? Who in their right mind would pick names and announce it now. You are an idiot. If the guy says he would cut he will., Not fair to name people publicly. Maybe cut departments by 10% and save money. I can’t take the stupidity anymore.
#9 Does the council actually hire & fire township employees? Or is that delegated to the department managers? I would imagine the department managers get a budget and have to fit their payroll into that budget along with all their other expenses.
Seems like if you cry ‘NAME THE NAMES’ you might have a political agenda…
For the last 5 months that our new administration as been in, where was Jim Bean? Not once did he get up to voice his opinion and thoughts. He is not my man he is a traitor.

I forgot Bean voted no on the budgets. What did Walsifer vote for the 2 years leading up to him being Mayor? Any one know?
I think Jim Bean is an above average candidate. That being said I will vote for him anyway.

#4 if voting “no” is so easy why didn’t any else do it? Especially this year?

#4. You are being really dumb. Voting “NO” back then is like telling “Kim Jung Un” he’s wrong about something.

He’s the hope we can believe in and will make Belmar great again!

Don’t employees have contracts? (Police, etc.) If you fire them, couldn’t it open you up for lawsuits? Correct me if I’m wrong.
If Jim Bean gets elected I give some of you guys 6 months to start complaining about him.
Independent Democrats or Republican candidates up for Council seats in the November Election, not Mayor.
Hamstrung incumbents could be the insurgents motto.
#14 I give them 6 weeks. He will hit the ground running

#17… You are very confused…. Mr Bean is a true conservative, the current M&C claim to be part of the GOP, but they are clearly RINO’S….
Thank God you are only a summer timer.
