Claims defect in absentee ballot envelopes is intentional
Yes, Monmouth County still doesn’t have the absentee ballot envelopes right:
This happened to my daughter last June and yes, it is disappointing to see that the problem still hasn’t been fixed. But County Clerk Christine Hanlon’s office is taking steps to help absentee voters to be assured their votes are being counted.
To County Democratic Party chairman Vin Gopal though, it’s all part of some dark conspiracy to “intimidate” voters:
Of course I’m not defending the envelope screw up but for him to assert that this was intentional is really childish and stupid. Republicans, theoretically, are just as much victims of this problem as Democrats.
Except, notably, in Belmar, where Gopal’s party seems to run an extremely “vigorous Vote By Mail program”.

How many of these mail in are people that are in Nursing homes and have no idea what day it is. How many of these are Belmar mail ins, care to answer Claire?
If Gopal is nervous, maybe the scuttlebutt is that Matt is a LOSER!
#2 Watchman. Yay!…….
#1Voter I am a Mail-In Voter and I
live in Belmar and not in a Nursing
Home. What is your point? I am legally
Registered and can vote which ever way
I chose.
Always “watch” the election procedures. If results are not going “your” way (whichever way that may be) ask for a recount, cry foul, claim rigging, etc. It’s what “they” do. Ahem…politics stinks.
And, dare I suggest it, vote for the two Republicans in Belmar. Things in this borough are too out of whack. Place is run by a bunch of donkeys.
Donkey corral will be in the recreation department on 11/08/16 where the ???competent??? Board workers will be collectively scratching their scalps.
Margaret Plumber come back, we need your even handed, nonpartisan skill at the one and only polling place.
