In an endorsement letter to the Asbury Park Press, Marlboro attorney Robert Salman highlights the military service of Monmouth Democratic candidates Jeff Cantor, Sue Fulton and Vincent Solemeno.
Bu the only thing he could think of to say about Matt is:
“They are joined by Belmar Mayor Matt Doherty for freeholder, who has been a champion for environmental justice on the Jersey Shore.”
Is he referring to DEP scofflaw and Public Trust civil rights violator Matt Doherty? That Matt Doherty?
BTW this is “environmental justice” according to the EPA:
Environmental justice is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income, with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.
EPA has this goal for all communities and persons across this nation. It will be achieved when everyone enjoys:
the same degree of protection from environmental and health hazards, and
equal access to the decision-making process to have a healthy environment in which to live, learn, and work.
So although a lot of us feel that Doherty has trampled the environment in Belmar in various ways I do have to admit he’s done it without regard to race, color, etc.

That attorney did not do any research on Doherty and his Belmar shenanigans. I would not hire him.
